Good to see your harness setup with the CamelBak. I'm struggling with the Pro swing harness. Will try with the hip stick as well this year. Thanks for the tips :)
Thank you, new subscriber here. What does the detector setup weigh in at. If you disconnect all the supports from your harnesses, what is the weight then of the machine plus side swinging arm? Thank you!
Hi Yama, Minelab information states the GPZ 7000 with the 14” coil attached weights in at 3.32 kg (7.32 lbs). Side arm is very light, so total weigh would be around 3.4 kg. Extra info - The 14” coil weighs 1.5 kg and the 19” coil weighs 1.83 kg (4.03 lbs). Hope that helps. 😀⛏⛏
Hi, Bill (&Gabriel), if you mean stable as in swing … the hip stick helps a lot. Vid also shows the quick release bungee around viewer stem on 7000. 😀⛏️⛏️
How do you find the pinpointer works with very small bits of metal or foil? I use a Nox 800, and will often get a really cracking signal on the Nox on what turns out to be say a bit of lead shot or foil, but both my pinpointers really struggle at times to locate such small targets. I have a Nokta Makro and a Whites TRS and it that respect they are both about the same...
G’day Peter, I’ve no experience with the Nox. As far as the Minelab pinpointer goes, the pinpointer still has to be reasonably close to the target to sound off. I use the GPZ 7000 that is not too easy to pinpoint with and the pinpointer particularly in deep holes as the target can sometimes be in the side of the hole. I’ve not done any measurements of how close it pick out up. 😀⛏⛏
Pete, if you do a search on ebay , there is a pinpointer for as little as $30. We use the Minelab 35 one, and have the ebay jobby as a back up. We have found that it works just as well as the ML one, and 1/5th the price
