Metal Detecting Soft Signals with the Minelab GPZ 7000
I often get asked "what do you listen for when detecting with the MINELAB GPZ 7000". I tell people that when I detect, I'm not listening for loud targets, but rather the hard to hear SOFT and sometimes VERY SUBTLE signals. In my experience with the MINELAB GPZ 7000 the soft targets, more often than not, turn out to be GOLD. In this video, I wanted to answer that question, and when I found this target, it was a TEXTBOOK example of just how subtle GPZ signals can be, so I wanted to capture it to demonstrate exactly what I'm listening for. I'll dig a target noise like this any day over a loud one. I hope this video does it justice enough to answer the question.
Enjoy, Like, Share and Subcribe. Regards Aussie.

Had a similar signal today with my 4500 14 inch elite coil in a junky area it was just a whisper nilly walked away the 7000 would of screamed at it by the way you found the 1.5 grammar it turned out to be 13.3 grams at 18 inches best bit i have found , will go back and try again in the same spot i can't believe how much is left by operators even with the best new detectors it takes skill and patients just like your doing 70 percent operator skill 30 percent detector .most would got bitten by a bug scratched their back and forgot lost sight walked away. .

This makes me want to cry a little, I was visiting family in remote north QLD, and a friend let me borrow their 7000, I picked up noise exactly like that and didn't even consider looking at it, sad thing is I dug up a nugget that broke when I hit it with the pick would have weighed 2 grams. Thanks for sharing, I want to get out and detect again but family commitments and budget just don't allow for it.

Hi John just came back from Laverton after a long weekend and hired a 4500, didn’t have much luck as the area was flogged. I would say it definitely would have been more prosperous with the 7000.

Totally agree mate. 2 years ago, I went back to an area which I had smashed with a 4500 and a 5000 for 5 years consecutively, convinced that there was not much left. This time I had a 7000 and I shit you not, I pulled well over 500 nuggets from that same area with the Zed. I was absolutely gob-smacked and stunned at just HOW GOOD the ZED was. Regards Aussie

Hi Aussie, I really enjoy watching your videos and find every one Exciting and educational, especially the detecting, GPS stuff and Tengraph. I'm new to "gold prospecting" but my interest began on the beaches of Sydney looking for coins and valuable's on a old Minelab X-Terra 30 which i still have. I will purchase a second hand 5000 very soon and head out for the first time. Ive gone over all the things to take when prospecting alone and studied the Tenement procedure's in WA. You must get this a lot, may i ask you what area's in the gold fields to you like to prospect and what you recommend taking on a 7 day trip alone. Thank you very much for all your videos i really feel the Aureka moment from them.

I'm glad you find the videos exciting and educational. I spend most of my time in Central Gold Fields. Far more good ground then I will ever cover in a 1000 lifetimes. I have a checklist on my website for WA trips... you might find it helpful. you can see it here: www.eurekaprospecting.com.au/187/wa-prospecting-trip-essentials Regards Aussie

Would areas that have been gone over heaps be detected again with a goldmonster 1000 if you can't afford the 7000? Or the 1000 wouldn't do the job as good for the small stuff?
@AussieBlokeProspector
@AussieBlokeProspector 4 года назад
Good question mate. I personally, wouldn't use a 1000 in a conventional manner on a flogged gold field to try to get the real small stuff missed by others. The SDC would be a far better machine for that. Being a VLF Machine the Monster would struggle with either hot rocks and lack of depth. Regards Aussie

@AussieBlokeProspector 5 лет назад
Not trying to be rude, but if you are going to go to the expense of traveling to WA from the other side of the world, it seems unwise to bring a low end machine. You can't cut corners with Gold Prospecting, you will only waste your time and money. I'm not going to suggest either of the machines you mentioned. Save up..get a GPX or GPZ, then come over and your time and effort will be rewarded. Regards Aussie

Great videos. You seem to find a lot of nuggies with that 7000. Do you metal detect nuggets for a living? Also, have you ever come across anyone using a Garrett Infinium LS out there? It is a PI detector and I am curious if it does well in the Aussie gold fields. Keep finding those nugs. Cheers.

Hey John, a guy on one of the forums by the name of Bogene kicked it off years ago hence "Bogene" settings and people are using it on the 7000's especially when EMI is bad etc, low threshold (5), max sensitivity.

Get yourself a Doc's Detectors "Gold Screamer"..... You will be impressed ! ..... Cool Video...... It will sound just like after you dug 6-8 inches....... Screaming ..... If you hear a weak signal when you first find the nugget using a Doc's gold screamer it means that it will be like over 3 feet deep ....Ha ....

I don't believe in enhancers or boosters... never have... in my opinion, and this is just my opinion (and I'm sure there will be many who disagree) I find it presumptuous to think you can improve on the worlds best technology (Minelab) and essentially to rely on a TOOL instead of your own proficiency which, if developed, will tell you if you need to dig a 3 foot hole in the first place. Regards Aussie

@@AussieBlokeProspector you don't understand until you use one specially my new one by steelPHASE SP01......what a difference and say goodbye to headphones...... I can detect a .07 nugget at 6 to 8 inches without a problem and it makes the threshold so smooth......
@MannyScoot
@MannyScoot 4 года назад
@@AussieBlokeProspector Once you try one, you will never go back.....Doc's is good, but the the steelPhase sp01 is a monster. You can detect the smallest gold flake and it makes the detector run smooth on heavy mineralized grounds..... They work, listen to how smooth it runs on a (RX gain of 12) and (stabilizer of 3) with a 12 o clock threshold.......ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DD45_Ezords.html
