Written in 1894 by Franz Lehár and dedicated "in sincere admiration to Eduard Grützner", a famous Munich painter with a very characteristic style, in this work we can associate to the famous waltz by Johann Strauss II "G'schichten aus dem Wienerwald", with a solo of zither at the end and a pastoral atmosphere. It is possible to notice a thematic similarity between the waltzes "Dynamiden" by Josef Strauss and consequently, years later, the theme "Der Rosenkavalier" by Richard Strauss was written.
I thank Maria Jesus Ruciero for sending the orchestral score, and I dedicate this piano transcription to Lehár Gesellschaft.
