I’m debating what vent to install. I have a turbo kit on my GR and track the car maybe a larger vent like you installed will be more helpful to extract, I bought the Verus it is smaller. Like your build 👍check mine out flat-four-track SME turbo kit install and dyno.
Oil pan is baffled not open like stock pan. There are two oil return drains from head runoff that the stock pan uses as well that now drain below the baffle in the sump area. SME has used this design in previous frs brz turbo kits for years that have seen lots of track use. The issue with high G use is the stock pan is wide open and the sump can get starved as is being proven through data logging.
@@phelpsgarage4202I’ve looked at data from the stock oil pan for the 2.4 and it indicates higher G loads ( sticky tires ) are going to be an issue for unbaffled oiling system. As time passes more data and solutions will be available. The pan I’m using is from SME and it it necessary for the turbo oil return line.
Only Verus engineering makes one for this car at the moment. I feel it’s a little small and it only held on with double-sided tape. Most vents are pretty much universal and I liked the way this one looked.
