The instrument choices I'd say make Minecraft's soundtrack unique and stylistic, they're all instruments that sound like a feeling, and most of the songs are like a rollercoaster of emotions because of the diversity in both sounds and styles especially with multiple sounds and styles blended into one song to make it feel like a journey, which is fitting for Minecraft because exploration is such a key part of it

I'm turning 18 this year and I remember playing Minecraft with my older brother in 2012-2019 and watching well-known German Minecraft RU-vidrs. Minecraft music always makes me nostalgic when I think about how I used to just play Minecraft and the other things in my life as a child... thanks childhood!🙏☺

I think they used a xylophone which honestly just serves to make it my favourite song, while you did point out it's simplicity I personally find it the most nostalgic out of all the older albums, could be that this was always on my game when I was a literal kid lol or could of just stuck with me but for some reason I cant shake off the vibes, thanks for the reaction Syrena!

In "Hagstrom" the instrument that was used Is Kalimba! About "Dry Hands" and "Wet Hands". The simple reason those tracks are called that way is by referring to the sounds. In music production, a wet sound is when It has a reverb, and obviously, a dry sound Is when It does not have any reverb or delay (echo). When you've heard "Mutation" and It sounded familiar to you, It's because C418 was using In this track the chords from the track "Minecraft", which you've listened to. About "Moog City 2", what you've tried to explain (the melody going up and down) Is arpeggio (aka arp). It's when a chord is individually sounded in a progressive rising or descending order. And I'm jealous you have the chance to experience some of C418's music for the first time! Good stuff Syrena :D

I think the biggest problem with your reaction here is you might have wanted everything to sound the way that you wanted it to sound it wasn't taking it from the artistic point of view. It didn't seem like you were listening through the artists intent but rather judging it based on how you would like it to sound. Some of the songs are intentionally more simplistic, it's not that they're not full it's that they are not supposed to be. Not every song needs 50 instruments in the background doing different things sometimes a song that follows one single motif with small changes here and there can symbolize a ton of different things. Also I never heard anybody say that they don't like a song out of the soundtrack I don't know if it's because you're picky or if you're not human. Also there's nothing wrong with a song being more "grand" as you call it, sometimes Minecraft is an intense game and the music becoming a little bit louder and more intense symbolizes that.
