It's good to see the youngsters picking up the classics and keeping them alive with their own, contemporary interpretations. richard -- "Classical" music is just the best popular music of a past time period that is still being listened to and performed after all the people for whom the music was "popular" are dead.

she literally is SO good i dont understand. the world needs to bring back more jazz, and her singing/playing fits perfectly. it’s like a newer version of that old jazz style. you are my idol girl!

I hate to say this, but I think the Downbeat reviewers nailed it when they panned this album of Kelly's. I miss the jazz of Ms. Kelly. As an heir apparent of the great Phil Woods, I would like to hear more jazz from this great saxophonist than what this album is showing us. She has chops. I am just not hearing them here and would love to hear those chops more.
