Had recorded this interview back in '93 on the VCR. Somehow over time I lost the tape, and always wanted to see this again. Low and behold!...here it is! Glad you posted this nice conversation between these two iconic women. Thank you.

Thank you for posting this. I watched it because of Grace Slick...but I had forgotten how good Whoopi Goldberg's show was. They said it best (I'm paraphrasing): The most civilized thing that we can do is simply talk!

First time seeing this and MAN---- Grace is so incredibly hot (in spite of what she says about over 50s...).........the epitome of the words articulate and insightful and intelligent...........and she really cared about animals, to boot (really hope she still does.........)

Great interview. Loved Jefferson Airplane. Don't recall actually sitting down to watch this. Was in early 20's . 😻😻😺😺❤️💜💜🙏🙌

So why did the line 'Feed your head,' line, Grace never said otherwise during the era of the 1960's. She could have come out and straightforwardly said, 'No that line isn't about taking acid, it 's about reading books.' But she didn't, at the time refute the argument that it was about taking drugs. It was only later that she mentioned that that line was really about reading books.

You can interpret art the way you want though. Blaming a musician for other people's life choices doesn't seem reasonable to me. And that was the only song she's written about drugs

Her song, 'Mexico' was about pot. 'Frozen Noses', I believe, touched on the subject of cocaine use. In 'Greasy Heart', she mentions a bit about heroin. I don't believe she was advocating the use/abuse of the latter, though.

A very interesting interview with a woman of many talents and impressive mind. While the supposition that fairy tales can instigate a desire to explore drugs is intriguing, it is probably a bit too close to a simple cause and effect explanation. Grace Slick can effortlessly roam over so many subjects, it is a pleasure to listen to her. As to the subject of a woman over fifty: depends largely on the man and whether breeding is on his mind. She certainly was then still very attractive and would (by some) have been chosen despite her inability to reproduce.
