When I hear this great hymn I tear up. It really grieves me that so much of the music we hear in our churches today cant even touch the doctrine and Gospel message this song heralds. How our evangelical churches have become like the world. All to make it easier for the unconverted to sit at ease not threatened by the Gospels command "Repent and Believe" Those who feel this tug in their hearts when they hear a hymn such as this, all I can say is keep contending for the Faith once delivered to the Saints. I agree wt what has been said..but I believe God is working ... these songs that r b n sung today r a mustard seed . . They r babies n the Lord. As they grow and their hunger for the Lord grows they will appreciate the older songs .. because it would feed their hungry spirits n Jesus .Amen
I too cried. During my Bible devotion today, from the pit of my heart I heard "grace grace, God's grace, gracevthat is greater than all our sin. Wow, I long to hear the "out of style" hymns which many were written based on God's Word. Thank you Jesus for your loving grace.
In these last of last days, with times of great trouble perpetual, it is so easy to get absorbed into the madness and become indignant at the injustice and corruption. Hearing hymns like this again is a gentle, wonderful reminder of what truly matters, and Who is in control. Thank You Lord!

Gods grace is extended to every person all we gave to do is say God forgive me and cleanse me from all our sins Gods grace is sufficient for all I remember when I accepted Jesus as my savior I am now 69 years old and God has been with me every step of the way I was just telling God how He has done so much for us we can never repay Him for all He has done for us
I grew up in the Pentecostal/Evangelical Church in the 70's 80's 90's and these were the songs 🎵 that grounded me. Today we do not hear them in church and the younger generation do not know any of these hymns.
Parkside in Cleveland (here on YT) still includes these songs in their services (along with contempory worship songs. I agree that the younger need to hear them.
I’m going to be very transparent, back in April, I injured my Achilles tendon while at football practice, and I’ve been dealing with this pain since then. You know the pain, I resorted to using medical marijuana, and though I know I shouldn’t be doing this, I’m still doing it and I know that even before I smoked, I’ve been covered by his grace and his mercy. Whoever takes the time to read this comment, please keep me in your prayers for healing and deliverance. I’m crying tears of sorrow because I feel that I am wrong in the eyes of God. So please keep me in your prayers

Just love this song, first time I really “heard” it was during the driving procession during my Brother’s funeral. I just broke down in “rainfall tears.” Gods grace is love.

Carol it was mentioned that we have lost many of the old hymns, I would like to point you all to whitewell metropolitan tabernacle Belfast, you will find many old and new wonderful collection of those hymns there, please go to the site I beg you as I have listened to them for a few years I sing along with them I do not realise I have been singing for sometimes 3-4hours without knowing it. I am just transported into glory.
I have loved this song since I first heard it as a teenager. Its message rings true and reminds us of the great salvation and forgiveness we can have in Jesus Christ if we accept Him as Lord and Savior, humbly and without reservation.

I have love this beautiful hymns one of my favorite hymn. We sang this in our church. Thank You Jesus for Your amazing grace. hallelujah!!! Grace is greater in all our sins.
Pray for my Arab Muslim neighbors, that they would come to Christ. Also, if they do come to Christ, I might send them to my church, which although it is a multiethnic church, it is English speaking (and they are bilingual), or there are two Arabic speaking evangelical Baptist churches in the area.
This is just beautiful.The words so deep/meaningful.And true old school...thats the songs I knew growing up. (Actlly went to look for the version sung by the Jimmy Swaggart singers and this came up first. Does just as good.) Grace,Grace,God's grace. "God's Riches At Christ Expense"! You know,I actlly first saw those words displayed at someone's fencing, walking thru a neighborhood once. Never forgot. It is more than amazing...stupendous. This grace! What a grace!🙏🙏🙏🙏

Grace doesn't cover our sin...it is given when sin has been removed.. but if sin abounds grace doth much more abound ...and is greater Still a good song

You're missing line #2 in this hymn. I have a hymnal from 1910 that has this for line 2: Sin and despair like the sea waves cold, threaten the soul with infinite loss; Grace that is greater, yes, grace untold points to the Refuge, the mighty cross.....
"Return, Israel, to the LORD your God. Your sins have been your downfall! Take words with you and return to the LORD. Say to him: 'Forgive all our sins and receive us graciously, that we may offer the fruit of our lips.' " (Hos 14:1-2). He's a gracious Heavenly Father and is calling you, O sinner, come home. Repent and believe on the Lord Jesus, so that you may be saved.
