This song is so well written. When u hear the details of the relationship it clearly was abusive and a horrible relationship, but a lot of the time you get so used to being treated a certain way it becomes ur comfort zone. I was in a horrible relationship a couple of months back. The first 3 days after I broke up with her I felt so empty. Like I was missing a part of me. This song encapsulates those feelings perfectly.

This songs brings back so much memory. I used to listen to this song 24/7 back in 2021 someone I knew recommended this to me. They were so special at the time and it made me get super attached to the is song emotionally. When they left I would just be in my room playing this video over and over lol. It was online learning at the time there wasn’t really much to do I was just alone most of the time with this song playing. Still one of my favourite songs. It just makes me feel things that I didn’t knows were possible. Feeling like your heart is broken and you just want to keep fixing it with the same glue even though it didn’t work last time. And although that glue keeps messing up your heart even more than before and still not able to fix it, you just crave for it like a temporary pain medication and slowly get addicted to it.

Broke up with a girl who had severe mental health problems that prevented our relationship from being healthy. I love her more than anything in the world, I didn't want to fix her, just help her to feel better and provide a safe space. She pushed and pulled and abused me, our relationship became toxic so I had to leave. I miss her so much, even knowing all the bad things, I miss being afraid of her behaviour in a strange way. Today would have been our anniversary. She said we could see each other 6 months from now, I am heartbroken at the thought of losing her, but I recognize I only bring her pain and she is not capable of a close romantic relationship right now. I'm a soon to be 62 y.o. I spend this past Saturday on an impromptu clothes shopping trip with my (14 y.o.) granddaughter and pretty much spoiled her the way her 'Baba' (my deceased wife of 2+ years) would spoiled her in the past. After she picked out her outfits, I told her it was her chance to shop clothes and dress her grandfather even though we were in a clothing store for young people. We had fun clothes shopping together. While in the store, I asked her about the type of music that was playing and asked if she could share with me some names of the artist for that type of music. She recommended Gracie Abrams... then I came upon this song. Her Baba and I shared 39 years together (34 in marriage). Our marriage wasn't an easy walk in the park but our love for each other endured through it all. About 3 years before she passed and after we had an argument, she asked why we fought so much... I told her that I don't know why but I know that she is the only one I want to fight with. It was the end of our fighting over 'little stuff' (which we made it so big at the time). The last few years of our marriage was an amazing journey. We would spend our Sat & Sun morning coffee time in our acreage backyard in the country that lasted hours... We talked and talked and loved/treasured each other. I'm still living by myself in this big house which we designed and had it build for our family of 5 at one point. I love it here and I miss her... 2+ years later, I'm doing much better. I'm working on to move on but I don't want to rush the healing process and time. I'm grateful for what we had together. Many have spent a lifetime seeking to have what we had. Her love for me, for our children and grandchildren, and for those she came in contact with still resonates to this day.... It's a beautful song and it draws me back to the love I once had and it was abundantly given to me.
