Brian, I acquired an easy kleen magnum plus 4000 hot water machine. I watched your stuff and found a couple issues before I ran it. Initially I had to repair the engine (my strength) but after watching your videos I know the plumbing is needing straightened out. The chemical addition was plumbed directly above the elbow out of pump before the knob (unloader?) There was no recirculation hose, pretty sure they just threw random fittings on it. I got owners manual online...my concern is the comet pump is rated 3.5 gpm at 4000 psi, yet chemical addition inside chokes down to what looks like 3/8 inside. Would this be wrong fitting?
Hard to say if it is the "right" fitting or not. If I had to guess, I would say it is the correct sized fitting. The pressure hose is 3/8 typically. So your fitting isn't smaller. If it concerns you, you can use a larger fitting. That will not create a problem.
Thanks for the help, do you have a schematic, instruction manual, or repair manual? Thus one looks so different than the ones you repair. Inside the front plate there is a bearing that sits on a valve that gets submerged in oil. Not sure how to remove the pump? I took out to allen screws from the front and the motor did move from the front housing just not completely. Is that where I start?
