This machine has been made to downsize truck and agricultural (tractor) tires. The sidewall cutter is the first part of this process, it cuts out the sidewalls of the tires and leaves behind the tread section. Having the sidewall cut out takes away the shape memory of the tire and makes it easier to process further. In this instance it is fitted with the optional tread cutter which further segments the tires into smaller sections. With the tread sections cut they can be laid flat, with the treads in two sections they are easy to stack onto a pallet or put into a Tyre Baler.
