T.,J. Tampa gives us depth at CB or Safety. The Deven Leary pick could have been a undrafted pick. I would have addressed ILB because we lost 2 LBs.

20:18 yeah totally agree with you... we all heard EDC say he doesn't like to move ahead, and yeah I get that but we are in win now mode... I do like Roger (penix reminds me a tad of lamar), but they said they were getting calls... and yeah even that pick alone I woulda grabbed another OL

Every contender in the league traded up. San Fran, Philly, KC, Detroit. For whatever reason this front office misses opportunities to draft game changers and instead settles for depth pieces primarily that get paid like starters.

To get the players we got…at the pick spots we had…I’d say it was a pretty good draft by EDC and Company.

Kevin, I know some will disagree, but I have to give us a final grade of C+. It seems like every time there was a player or playere (as my 1st, 2nd, or 3rd) choice. Other teams traded up and grabbed those guys. Those players would be 2024 contributors, we have some future depth, but mostly projects.

100%. Depth is good but game changers are better. Trading up guarantees you a chance at a better player.

Big fan of the Isaac pick, great value at 93 plus huge drop-off in position group after Isaac. Edge was an underrated need even after resigning KVN

I say overall draft gets a B- because it was a few picks i didn't understand or particularly car much for and i think they went super heavy on defense and was light on offense but to be fair they lost a lot of players on D last year l Iol

I agree. I PERSONALLY wanted Brendan Rice. I think we could've gotten Leary as a UDFA.

~ one thing Ravens fans need to keep in mind when grading drafts, evaluating drafts, it’s difficult to project, easier to view in retrospect. What I mean is, I was highly critical of EDC early drafts, at the time. When I would look back in two-three years, the same players I complained about… were contributing starters, and contributing on special teams. Players were showing up and suddenly that draft produced NFL starters, and pro bowl players and multiple “gem” prospects. I am excited about the talent in the secondary, including undrafted UMD product Beau Brade. The Ravens lost three productive members of that secondary as well as Patrick Queen, Clowney. Adding quality talent in the secondary, with adding another player on the defensive line. The team is built for immediate and long term success on the defense. With many of the players on “cheaper” contracts. Offensively, they’ve added an interior and outside lineman. Obviously the center will be moved to guard. Rasheen Ali, will be a gem. Mark my words. My favorite pick was Walker from UNC, reminds me of Martavis Bryant, George Pickens, in body type and fluidity. Vertical threats, tall slim body type. Added to a group of 1st round receivers at various stages of their careers. The QB pick threw me off a bit… From my opinion I give the overall grade of B. Offense Skill- C+ OL- C DL/Edge- C ILB- N/A DB / Secondary-A+ Random Opinion. Interesting while many teams were focused on improving their offensive skill positions, the Ravens organization, goes the opposite and loads up on young secondary talent. I understand fans love offense, and want talented WR all over the field…. Sure. The Ravens have enough on offense at those positions. More than enough. A Talented WR core, Great TE, Multiple RB’s , King Henry, and 2X MVP quarterback. • I’m sick of the fans who keep saying the team doesn’t invest in offense, and don’t give Lamar weapons… that narrative is squashed. The Ravens have MORE than enough offensive weapons to continue to be a great offense.

I disagree, the Ravens may have enough but they can maximize their offense. Historically the Ravens do just enough to get by offensively and load up defensively. The teams best player is the QB. While they should take advantage of opportunities on defense to grow. They had multiple opportunities in this draft and in years past to maximize the offense. Philly did it, San Fran did it, as well as KC. They all don't settle for good enough on offense while still rolling out top 10 defenses.

C- went for more defense is an offense heavy class. They drafted 2 offense players that have injury history and ball control issues🤦‍♂️

That is exactly why the Ravens kept drafting defense. If all the top offensive players are taken by the time you're on the clock. I'm taking higher rated defensive players over lesser ranked offensive players. Taking the BPA drives me nuts too sometimes but more often than not, it pays off.

If you’re expecting the draft class to be major contributors, it means the team stinks and has no depth. The Ravens are stacked. Most of these players will contribute on special teams and grow into more significant roles as they earn their playing time. Again the Ravens were drafting at the back end of most rounds so this was a solid draft.

This is the first year that most of these guys from the draft will play smh do we need a rt yes a corner or two yes how many corners played for us last year smh do we need edge rusher yes how many edge rushers did we use last year and we lost one smh don't we need a rb how many did we loose smh so most of our draft class we need right away it's common sense!

Your wrong on this one we went after positions of need ( outside of the QB) we had DB injuries , we needed a guard (we drafted a center) we needed a right tackle we got one , we needed to add a RB for more depth and speed and a WR was a plus

Nate Wiggins potential Day 1 starter over Brandon Stephens. Brandon to remain plug in at CB, Nickel, Safety rotation. Tj Tampa solid 3-3-5 nickel to start. We’ll incorporate him in at safety over time. He could be a 4.4 guy with proper speed training.Rosengarten to train as RG an RT. Potential plug in when Kevin Zeitler retires. Tez is the sleeper of the group that I think as tremendous upside of the WR class of 24. Extremely solid draft. PS extremely ready to see Trent Simpson’s development

I give them a C/C+ Being a Ravens fan at times feels like watching Star Wars so many times that you know each scene from memory, but still act shocked every single time when it's revealed that Darth Vader is Luke's father. Personally I'm just really over hoping for different results from the same process. I really wish they would stop drafting as if they're willing to accept multiple holes on offense THIS SEASON in order to to prevent us having holes on defense 2-3 years from now, they always do this and expect different results.

It annoys me because I wanted to give them an A and it look like they were gonna have it then they decided to let all these coaches pick these ridiculous guys. I’m sorry EDC next time you have to take full control you can take insight but as soon as you allow coaches to pick players we got the Learys and other back ups who make no sense.

I will have give the Ravens B+ i really think the picks have lot of value corner o line and the edge if you go back and look at the tape it show that they fit the Ravens style of playing their potential four to five guys that i can see have immediate impact other four players will be on a special team and undrafted player Joe Evans was a steal how could he go undrafted i see TJ Watts in him

I'm 50/50 on the QB. Tom Brady & Purdy were throwaway picks. Brady was the 4th QB on the Patriots depth chart. So there's a chance for him, but I would have grabbed a Guard.

OL he can grow he is around 23 or 24 right wait til he is 26 growing into a full grown man he is a young man now he will add 10 + pounds if not more

Ravens fans are so spoiled. Most teams pray that 2 hopefully 1 player from the draft will be a starter let alone a star. Ravens want everybody drafted to be starters immediately AND be pro bowlers. Wiggins will start and be good. When the Chiefs picked Worthy Wiggins was a lock. Dejean was just coming off a broken leg. All the picks but the qb were good picks.

Rosengarten has a decent chance to start, doubt it but just saying. If he can outplay the others in practice its a good possibility. The QB pick lol, idk. I trust in EDC and maybe they see Leary as a potential backup.

D Because the they picked so poorly at 3, 5, and 6. They were guy's they could've signed as free agents because the weren't getting drafted and in no way are going to help the team.
