Liverpool have been lucky enough with them though to be fair Ian Rush, Craig Bellamy, Robbie Fowler all done well in their second spells. Rush scored more goals and won more trophies when he returned, Bellamy helped Liverpool win the league cup, Fowler added 12 more goals to his tally across two seasons which was good for a man in his condition and of his age. Can you or anyone else who reads this think of a club with terrible luck when they re-sign former players? I'm struggling to think but there must be one example of a club that should just stay away from signing former players
Crystal Palace strikers the past decade....! Chamakh, Yaya Sanogo, Frazer Campbell, Adebayor, Ameobi, Bakary Sakho, Wickham, Ayew, Dwight Gayle, Benteke 🤐 how they are still in the EPL is beyound me..
the only game in Europe i have been to was Angeliño’s only (i assume) first spell start for Man City v Bayern friendly. the fact that he was wearing 69 for one of the biggest clubs gave me hope he would one day make it hahahaha
quick note for pogba that season where he scored 16 his stats looked good but the majority of that season he was shit except for like 3 months when ole just came and mourinho had been sacked and they went on a great run but it fizzled out towards the end the majority of people and pundits will tell u he did not deserve to be put in the team of the season like tbh most of his goals came in that 3 month spell where united were doing well when ole just came in and most of his goals overall that season just came from penalties if we are gonna talk about his actual performances that year he was very very poor he wasnt even a guaranteed starter under jose because of how poor he was ..for heaven sake even under ole had arguably his worst ever game against huddersfield who got relegated he was outplayed and out ran by a bunch of players most people had never heard of in their lives
That Lb from Man City not saying his name incase I spell it wrong I bet he’s buzzing he came back cause the club he is at now and how good he is for that club is much better for his career then it would if he stayed in the Netherlands
Tbh all prem clubs are having a good transfer window except man utd. Arsenal , city , Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton, palace and even the likes of Newcastle have signed some good players
