Between Prof and Ren there is enough love to go around , and you are right they are fire together. Also as you said the are known to do collaborations. Let's show the artist the respect they deserve. Great video by you and amazing track by Prof & Ren. 💚💜💙Beat is insane. # of layers to lyrics, no surprise there. Ren's verse felt like , Murdrer pt2,🔥He always references lyrics, song titles to his other tracks in every new track that I can think of. It totally makes sense now that Ren wrote this before Halftime. Pimping pain line is now just another song reference to the 11 or 12 other tracks he references in Halftime.

I love this song so much I'm testing whether I can wear it out! I saw some of the friction between fans that you mention, but it was at a level that seems pretty normal to me. I think there's a fair bit of crossover happening. At the Rabbit hole, the admins eventually prohibited posting Prof songs on main page, except in comments, as they weren't viewing him as a "Ren related" artist.
No friction on my RENactions! page- it's all just love there for 2 great artists producing an absolute banger. And I don't decline any posts that are Ren & Homies /collaborators reaction related - once Ren brings them in, that's it, they're one of "ours" to me🙂
I LOVE it when Ren collabs with other great artists! Since following Ren he's introduced me to others whom I now follow. Never heard of Prof before this collab. I subscribed to his channel and am eager to explore his catalog. My first reaction to hearing this amazing song was, "An album would be phenomenal!" I had never heard of Prof so watched a few of his videos before the drop, like Squad Goals (Mr. Rogers thumbnail intrigued me). This is a really great breakdown. I think you’re the first person who’s really twigged the mixing of this ( that I’ve seen anyway). Frankly some of REN’s fans are so thick, they don’t realise or understand or appreciate that Ren is layered all over this track. One special needs case actually wrote that in one comment that it was his least favourite track because there’s not enough Ren in it. How dumb is it really possible to be? Oh well at least the imbo’s are bringing the entertainment.😂😂😂

I've been looking forward to your video for this one! I knew you'd be among the few who'd come to it able to talk about hoping for an ongoing collaborative arrangement between these two because of all the ways they could interface creatively. I've only been exposed to Prof via doing as deep a dive as I could into his content in the 10 days before this song dropped, so I feel like I'm here as a Ren fan, but MAN have I enjoyed learning about Prof! So many of the tracks from Horse play on a loop in my brain through the day atm, lol, and I've found lots of great material from before Horse so far, too. I'll definitely keep digging. Being here as a Ren fan, I was actually knocked back on my ass that I felt like Prof stole the show here. Like, obviously this is HIS song and Ren's "just" a feature artist on it, but I'm so used to Ren blowing me out of the water that it really shocked me, lol. I really wasn't expecting it (I'm in the crew who are all "Ren's the Prince of the 21st century, Ren's the Bob Dylan of the 21st century, Ren's the Shakespeare of the 21st century, Ren's the Mozart of the 21st century..."). Largely I think it's a measure of Ren leaning into my least favourite of his rapping voices (despite how world-shatteringly important an artist I think he is, I have very little tolerance for it in most cases; rap-wise, I gravitate to how he sounds in The Hunger and Genesis and Murderer) while Prof's coming in with one of the voices I've liked the MOST of what I've heard from him, lol. And then while I 100% love that they were having FUN together doing this, it's a big turn-off to me when the outtro to a track features people saying goofy things (Prof often seems to manage to avoid me reacting like that to outtros he does, but this is not one of them). Definitely some great lyrics from both of them (yeah, I love how they play into Ren's Halftime retake... Prof hits the theme first and my brain lit up, lol, and then Ren dove into it too), and some excellent wordplay, and I *love* the beat. Prof's cadence over the top of it makes it very sticky in the brain. And Ren's harmonies were a GREAT addition; Prof has him singing in triads over his rap-melody line (idk if Ren mixed his voice singing all the harmonies above Prof, or whether he sent one harmony line and Prof pitch-adjusted it to have a chorus of Rens singing), and it feels very unique (in what little experience I have with rap). Super different vibe to the song. I definitely see this track like another reactor described it - a warm-up for what else they could do. I know plenty of people love this one outright, of course! While it doesn't fully land that way for me, it *does* confirm to me that these two should absolutely be making more music together. Anyway, THIS was the reaction/breakdown/discussion I needed to see, Rika. You know and appreciate both of their work, and you had a TON to say about how they compliment & play off of each other.
I love this track RikaShae. It just grows and grows on me. The beat just stays in my head. They definitely need to do more together. The message is so dope. The constructed society that damages, and the politicians that exploit it. They are saying, we have to have politicians that support the causes we are fighting for, if not we have to get rid of them. Ren joked today about bad timing for the release (regards current events), but that was impossible to foresee obviously.

This collab is super dope, I also wish there was more. Amazing talent between them. Although I would say the YT release came with a whimper rather than a bang. A lyric video or something should have been made. Shame. Video and presentation etc is the only weak link. They should have had more faith it could be popular. But I love it anyway :D
Agreed about there could - and Should be more - IbuProfRen: The Cure for All Ills 💊 is the album I need. It will go off in so many directions - rapping, singing, emo, hilarious, all tied together with dope beats 💥 Lovely getting some "insider info" from you. I didn't realise this was in the works a year ago. As to the "friction", personally I don't get it - once Ren's brought anyone into the fold with a collab, they fall under the "A rising tide lifts all ships" ethos which is even incorporated into the rules on my RENactions! page - it's all love there💞
