Thats Daniel Ramos one of my child hood friend he got his name in the early-mid 80s from his peers at Utah str. elementary in Aliso Village Projects...We called him Chaka cause he had long hair and look like Chaka from the old T.V show land of the lost and he took that name to fame who woulda thought..

I remember getting caught by SDPD for ditching school in the 90s...they brought us back to school without searching us and my homie caught a tag in the back of the cop car with a streaker. I was like fuck they gonna come get us now cuz we were up all over.
I remember Chaka. All the news stories. Growing up near Los Angeles I remember seeing his work in the streets when I went up there. Some of these people are super talented. It's great they are using their skills for something positive, instead of just messing up peoples property.
He inspired me as a kid to hit up every where I went from So East LA where I grew up to billboards overpasses freeways and whole city’s I miss the rush of it there’s no drug like it.

@@Dinhster Haha! Just checked it out and yea I'm surprised the legend is still up to his old tricks.. I'm 41 now was a tagger since 13 quit long ago but as a true writer that urge still gets me wanting to go out and claim my fame but in my case it's just not worth the risk..
True legend he got fame by word of mouth crossing states I'm from El Paso and people talked about him this predates the days of internet. Everyone brown nosing NY graffiti was and has been in Chicano culture for decades NY was flooded with people making movies about the movement so people assume that's where it started no that's where the scene was exploited.
