Krink was the first mop brand created by kr an oldschool graffiti writer from New York. He basically came up with the idea of putting ink in a shoe polish sometime in the 70s or 80s and the price is just a product of having the market cornered and not having much competition for so long. I enjoy krink but it's twice the price of any comparable products.
Respect for the man's roots but fuck the prices, fuck the branding, and fucking hell kr's interview with vice was one of the cringiest things on the planet hahaha

But he did explain there that his popularity came from his home made Ink and after he decided to hand some of it out, and after enough word of mouth and enough demand came in he decided to sell it then make something of it. Having nothing to do with any specific tool of the trade, as much as it was his branded ink that Dripped to the ends of the Earth. I do the same... Except less fancy because everyone mixes Paint and Ink if they want some stain or flow in a mop... But I do try to get fancy with outside the box thinking.
Man i love waking up and watching your videos. Theres somthing very relaxing about the ambient noise of the city and your smooth voice speaking a language I dont understand. Weck I am from America, a lot of my friends who write use Krink markers, despite the high cost. I think this is because of the history. Krink was one of the first to make his own ink and sell it, and the original formula was one of the best for making drip tags. Now there are a lot of cheaper alternatives for equal results, but some people remain with the classics just because of the brand and the history behind it.

Krink is an american graffiti figure famous for creating his silver paint which is definitely high quality but not worth being 2 to 3 times more expensive than other silver or black mops and markers. You are paying for a name that doesnt really matter anymore.
Cool. Have you ever done a review on neon cans or anything?. I really think they are interesting and wanted to get some but wanted to see what others think. (Obviously won’t use them for the whole piece etc), but would love peoples opinions on them.
If U wanna use neon colours be careful with the other colours your using cause otherwise the synergie and contrast between the colours isn't good. But you gotta try your own and see ✌

Where I'm from in the US krink is something we joke about rich toys buying and thinking it makes them automatically better writers, but yes the guy who runs krink was a famous writer and his products were really good and not as expensive when he was a writer who sold ink and mops he made, but then he turned it into a big company and the quality got worse and the price got higher. it's still the go to brand for ppl who don't know much about graffiti in the US for some reason otherwise only rich people use it
I've had that silver before and it was really streaky and when I squeezed it for drips the nib shit out and spilled everywhere. Overpriced bs. Just buy aluminum paint and some paint thinner and looks just as good

The black is dope but the silver leaves me wanting more shine. It’s more like a grey at times. I’m going to do some experimenting with it soon enough By the way the shit is expensive as hell I get a discount thank god Even with a discount it’s 11$ in Florida, USA. They usually charge people 15-17$ which is incredibly high
So, about krink.... Like @fyut Weraz said, the guy has his roots, but really only for a short time in NYC. He did some different things with his painting, specifically US mail boxes, and the thin consistency chrome paint he made at home was sought after. Weckman, you already know: you can get as good, or better, chrome from spent cans. So it really boils down to branding eminence, and "what prople will pay". Why do so many people want reviews on similar plastic bottle squeezers? Because popular culture has instilled in them that some way, some how, one "brand" has GOT to be better than another. Anyone who has used molotow's products know they are about as "superior" as you can get. But marketing is powerful. Krink has got to be better, it costs more. Like you said, Wek, the k60 squeezers last forever, so buy em empty and fill them with whatever and dont believe the hype. Krink isnt appreciably better than chrome from a can, and the only thing that you do by buying krink's products is serve to make the company and the man richer than they deserve to be. \end rant
They have a couple of not bad markers, but this is their maximum. I agree with you that inflated prices are associated with advertising, but not with quality.
One reason krink is so expensive is because of their ink formula you can’t buy just their ink anymore you used to be able to but they stopped so the price is mainly for their ink formula

Krink was invented in the 90s in New York by the graffiti writer KR. It was first famous for the ink and the famous drips it makes. It was one of the first graffiti dedicated products so that's why it's so iconic. Now the brand got involved with a lot of other brands and high fashion, that's why it's completely overpriced
