There are all sorts of inspections a building has to pass before it's pronounced fit for human habitation. Without those, they would've kicked out any homeless found in it, never mind deliberately use it to house homeless. Look for a recent news story about homeless found furnishing and living in a cave near a river in Sacramento. Same thing - they kicked the homeless out and destroyed it as matter of safety.
Knowing the people who're running this state into the ground will place all the Illegals in that building first before 1 actual American Veteran will be able to step foot in their.🤦♂
The graffiti is cool and doing it on a 27-story building of luxury apartments, in a city where housing costs are through the roof, is art with a statement. They should give these people medals. Thanks for spreading the word ABC7!
Sitting emp;ty for four years, people stealing recyclables, 50 million or more in contractor's liens on the property, the guard company getting stiffed on their bill. But none of this mattered until the graffiti started appearing. Now everybody is all atizzy.
Dude nothing is cool about that, some lames that went over other people to get up , and then they flip out and cry like a women when people go over them
Details and questions conveniently not mentioned nor answered: (1) Who owns the sky rises, (2) why were they abandoned halfway in construction, (3) why hasn't another commercial company bought them out, (4) why hasn't the city stepped in to make them living residence during the so-called housing crisis, (5) why the tagging is only NOW an issue, (6) gentrification and related commercial capitalism screwing over middle class citizens (liberal and conservatives equally alike) running amok.
Thousands of homeless in L.A. and buildings just sitting empty not only that isn't their still like 6 abandon hospitals that also be used for housing... the greed is unreal. Let's see if they'll stay abandoned 15+ years like Fontainebleau did in Vegas
The real travesty is the lapd uses 50 million dollars a year just for helicopter fuel , homeless living in tents OUTSIDE CITY HALL. WITH EMPTY SKYSCRAPERS . WHAT PLANET DID I WAKE UP ON AGAIN 😂😂😂 ?
When people tell you that art can’t change things, laugh in their face! Love to everyone who has hit this building, it’s absolutely inspiring and incredible to see it happen!
Imagine what could be accomplished with the same amount of news coverage on a real issue like...Elected officials using inside information for trading.
Sheeesh. That's some serious cheese. I'm sure at that price they would get doors that lock. Until then, we're going to keep getting this Artwork@@michaelgalvan9196
Arrested and ticketed. They will post their tickets and get a million views. People from all over the world know that LA is soft and they are moving in to take advantage. Meanwhile developers are scared to build in LA because of catch and release.
1:15 No don’t worry about that, if people want to risk their lives for art let them be. SIMPLY add a sign saying don’t go up there to tag or wtv, and if someone tries to sue the city you can show them the sign clearly telling them to stay away. And that’ll be the end of it.
The city should just take the buildings from the developers and give it to another who will finish the project. I wonder, though, who much tagging, vandalism, damage and stuff taken has been done inside the buildings. I have a feeling it's a lot. The buildings might not even be salvageable.
@@3hooks781 They've basically abandoned the place. Who knows if they're even paying any property taxes. Since the city seems to be the only entity trying to do anything (the owners have been non-responsive) why not take it away?
Well city and all should learn to keep an abandoned building to even happen of this magnitude. Think high rent has to do with it in cali. Dont like it. Make bigger changes that matter. I was shocked to hear a building of this scale has no future. Yeah a shout out to the culture for once is understandable.
These buildings should not be left unfinished, regardless of the story as to why they are unfinished...there needs to be some type of mandatory action on some entity taking over these projects and finishing them. If a developer flaked out, okay..but in this area especially there needs to be action taken to complete the construction, it's a crisis situation. This cannot be allowed to happen like this.
They will keep doing it because they will just get released from jail without having to pay bail. How is it the owners fault if LA County is the one rewarding criminals for their bad behavior.
