Hi Lily-anne, As mentioned in my grafting video's, we graft in late July / early August. You can also graft in the winter if you have a heated green house to keep the frost at bay. I hope that helps you out!

Hi Jules, Our acer palmatum root stock comes from a nursery that grows specific roots stock for grafting. There are several nurseries thru out north america that would these including here in Canada. You can grow a japanese maple seedling for your root stock, it would take approx. 4 years from seed by the time it is ready to use as root stock material

You need Japanese maple seeds, no other maple seeds

they are felco #2 's. Built to last a lifetime

Hi Stella, Japanese maples are outdoor trees. Sorry! it would be very stressful on the plant
