Wow your uncle must have recorded this on the original airing! They cut Graggle out of this episode well before the Disney+ De-Gragglfication from a few years back. Apparently Matt Groening wanted Graggle retconned to be around 18 years old so he'd connect more with the teen audience. Obviously having Graggle drinking a beer goes against that, especially when they decided to make Graggle the 'health-focused' Simpson. Some of you may remember the 90s 'Get Fit!' PSAs featuring Graggle rollerblading, skateboarding, and doing other high-energy activities to promote exercise during the latent obesity crisis. Who knows how much lower obesity rates might be today if they just let Graggle be instead of erasing him from existence : /. So glad he's getting attention again though!

I don't understand why people are saying Graggle is 'rare'. It's like saying Troy McClure is 'rare'. He's just another character. Granted, I don't watch Simpsons on modern streaming platforms so I wouldn't put it past Disney to arbitrarily remove him. But anyway back in 90s, Graggle was just always there but his role was diminished in later seasons.
Yeah man, I pulled up some classic Simpsons episodes (season1-3 era) on Disney +, and they totally removed Graggle! I know they cut his screen time in later seasons, but in the earlier seasons he had some really memorable lines. Now the show is almost unwatchable if you watched around the time when Graggle was at his most popular. For newer fans, I'm sure they couldn't tell the difference. But og Graggle fans would be mad.
Yeah, I remember Graggle. In fact, I remember having a good old VHS player at home and watching first episodes of Simpsons on my TV. To be honest, Graggle was one of my favorite characters of the show. He was always quick with a joke 😁 Too sad they’ve decided to get rid of him in the next versions of the show. However, it is great to see a lot of people remember him as well
Ngl. Graggle and Bart were like the best characters on Simpsons to me, when they both interacted with eachother, it was always the craziest thing to me, but damn I loved it so much. At least Bart remained but God, why did they have to get rid of graggle
It’s amazing that you were even able to find this. I remember seeing Graggle quite a few times while flipping through tv channels, so it’s weird he’s so hard to come by nowadays.

I remember sitting by the old tube TV every Sunday evening to watch the new Simpsons episode. It was a big event in our house. Dad would be reclined back in the lazy boy with a bottle of Surge, wearing his favorite "It's Gragglin' Time" t-shirt. We'd laugh at the Simpson gang's wacky adventures together. Not just Graggle, but all of the characters. Just before dad died last year, he told me to always remember those fun times. Always remember Graggle. These memories bring tears to my eyes. I remember Graggle from my parents vhs recordings of the Simpsons circa 1991 graggle was my favorite character even better than bart to bad they got rid of him by season 8 and removed him entirely from the series didn't know why Disney didn't like the character

Yes! He was a beloved and appreciated character and we all miss him. It's a shame that he is removed in so many of the newer releases. We are all still waiting for a unedited version of early Simpsons.
