Bonnet's performance is beyond criticism. By any measure it's magnificent. I really like the dark and dirty feel of the riff and Bonnet nails it perfectly with his singing. I pity the fool who attempts to sing the song after him. It will always be overshadowed by Bonnet's performance Bonnet's work with Schenker in Assault Attack was absolutely superlative. It's the best vocal performance in the Rock genre.
the perfect compromise between all aspects of singing, he's got it all. However, when it comes to power he is without peer. No singer can be everything to a band, especially in the rock genre, but this dude....man...can sing.
well, when I was younger (17-19 years old) I was crazy! I used to sing irom maiden songs in a sort of belting sound reaching in this voice impressive notes (D5 or Re4..8-|) but that was very harmful and painful.. fortunately I stopped in time!!! Now I sing hard rock very rarely, and I started knowing my instrument.. I use my head voice instead of chesty belted sound!! Now when I sing I don't feel pain at all, and after a session my voice is as fresh as when I started to sing.

If I didn't know who these guys were, I would have sworn they were the house band for The Blue Oyster Club. I would have said, The Brown Derby" but I'm sure what they had that by night's end. LOL
No amigo no conozco a John West, pero lo voy a buscar en EMule ya que me imagino que debe ser tan bueno como Graham Bonnet, ya que no todo el mundo reconoce la calidad de Bonnet.
Wow! He still has an amazingly high voice. My favorite of Bonnet song is "Only One Woman." I also love Declan Galbraith singing it. Awesome young teen.

unfortunately I have nothig to put on youtube. I'm very young (21). Now I'm to busy with university.. I wish I could take a serius vocal training because I really love to sing and I know a lot of things in theory but in practice I'm very instinctive.. Now my voice is all here and I can do a lot of things without hurting myself but I don't want to do something wrong.. Do you use any tecnique like speech level singing or voicecraft?
@einarabelc5 More like 3,5 in his prime. But it's not his range that makes him the wonderful singer that he is. Check out the vid called "the high notes of graham bonnet" that will give you an idea of his gods. And yes, all chest. =)

Sì, effettivamente lo SLS è utile più per allenare muscoletti, cartilagini e balle varie. Io da lui ho fatto una sola lezione, che stata anche l'unica lezione di canto che abbia fatto in vita mia. Alla fine per fare un genere come l'hard rock (senza sfasciarsi) è necessaria non una, ma più tecniche per fonderle poi in un connubio che permetta di fare tutte quelle stronzate (sovracuti assurdi, grafiato..) in modo "sano" o perlomeno consapevole.
