Crosby describes Nash as a "gentle man" as in "gentleman" with emphasis and he clearly is. He has class. His politic views are sadly unrealistic in this cruel world but he is fully correct to continue trying by using his powerful talent to help bring change, one person at a time.

Why does Trump suck? Be specific? What policy did you disagree with? Demanding our foreign allies paying their fair share? Peace through strength? Removing bureaucratic regulations that led to economic growth and record low unemployment among Blacks, Hispanics and everyone else? Low inflation? He was attacked personally as soon as he announced he was running in 2015. Mainstream media can't stand it when he effectively punches back. Divisiveness was racist O'Bama, perpetuating white guilt. I’ve always admired Graham for his honesty and straightforwardness. I had the pleasure of playing for him once on a recording project he was producing back in the late 70s and for me it was a very big deal because I could remember only a few years earlier sitting in the nose bleed section of the Oakland Colosseum in 1972 watching Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young on their first tour and deciding that was what I wanted to do as well. I was completely in on it from that moment on. They were so inspiring and influential to me. I loved all the bands that they were previously from but CSN&Y was something else all together. So getting the chance to be in a studio playing music with him was a huge thrill for me. It still is a wonderful memory and he hasn’t changed a bit from the person I first met and admired. ✌️😎🎶

In Nash's defense, Crosby is a bit of a hardcore weirdo. He's a great singer, and a lot of great singers have a little bit too much false pride. Crosby didn’t influence the use of his voice, not in a million years. GN is strong willed and pretty independent in his thinking. When he sang in the Hollies, he had that high treble voice. It is a unique consistent sound, it was The Hollies and UK’s loss, and CSNY and USA’s gain. His intellect is immense.

Whether Graham Nash sings on stage or is offstage speaking in interviews or is telling a story, you listen to what he has to say not only about his own life, but what is going on in today's world. He is exactly on point when he talks about our nation. Like Graham mentioned, our country does need to be the United States again, not divided. There is so much negativity going on in this world, that we must remember to be positive and spread kindness to others. From a musical and personal perspective, I have loved this man and his music since I was four years old. I have seen him in concert three times and have spoken with him twice. The two of us are now friends. He is one of the most nicest musicians you will ever meet. Go see him if he comes your way! He may be 77, but his voice is still in great shape, and he still looks very handsome! He is a wonderful storyteller too. I am praying that he will return to my area soon, so that I can see him a few more times and talk to him again!

Totally disagree. He's describing what he sees. Hes describing objective, observable behavior and social trends.. He is not however allowing those components of the state of things to destroy his own ideologies or overall happiness. I dont hear even a pin drop of bitterness. He's even come to a modest "solution" - start with yourself he said. A cynical, bitter person doesnt look for solution.

Graham.. since (it is obvious by what you say) take your own advice, reunite with your friend David. ''It is simple if you believe''. You can have that phrase for a song.

Agreed. How did such a pseudo-"heavy" guy get a job interviewing famous people? No real conversation, just boring, off-the-wall, questions. I hate discussions posing as conversations.

Everybody wonders why nash is such an unpleasant guy. He is asked the same few questions over and over in interviews and its the tabloid type of stuff. Id walk out and refuse anymore interviews. He doesnt owe the public anything

Graham Nash is and always has been one of the greatest singer/songwriters ever in my view. His last album “This Path Tonight” was exceptional. Trouble is, he’s too hung up on politics. Talk more about the music man, that’s all we want. Leave the politics to the politicians. Too many people on here are ranting on about his personal life. Well to be fair it ain’t really any of our business so I’ll stay out of that one. How about another album Graham? Your voice is still great unlike a lot of your contemporaries, keep it going, all the best.

I have an idea....everyone get your egos in check, count the multimillions in your bank account, be greatful, get through the tough love, and do for the others what you do best, making music! What a novel idea. Were starving out here, no political garbage either.....Just let your leader Stephen Stills loose and how about some rock and roll, some weird david stuff and one marshmallow Graham song. Remember were teaching the children. Were getting old too....get off the couch and on the road!

Er hat recht, man kann die Vergangenheit nicht ändern. Trotzdem ist sie wichtig: "I need to know, that I've brought sth into the world, that is positive and not negative". Deshalb sollten wir über die schlechten Dinge, die wir in die Welt eingebracht haben, nachdenken und sie ändern, solange die Vergangenheit noch unsere Zukunft ist.

Now THAT was a GREAT interview. Nash always tells it from the soul. He is straight forward and tells it the way he sees it. No BS from him. And of course the great songs that came from CSN and CSN&Y are legends. I am an old hippie myself and believe in the same three basic principles about Love is better than hatred, Peace VS War, and love your fellow person.I am very happy he said to forget about 50 years ago. I agree, whatever we did or didn't do it's too late now, so why dwell on it? I thought he was a bit hard on the president. I don't think Trump can take all the blame for the divisiveness in our country right now? I mean when was the last time the Dems didn't fight either Trump or against themselves? How about they get to work and pass a few bills once in a while instead of trying to kill each other and especially kill Trump. I agree the Tweet Trump said about the 4 ladies of color was probably not the right thing to say, at lease that is what I feel, but look at all the good things he has done. How about the economy best ever; first president to see a North Korean dictator; How about taking our country back from China who killed Detroit, Pittsburg, and anybody who was making things in the USA that could be made cheaper in China laying off thousands of our workers; how about China buying up all our Treasury Bills; How about China steeling our top secrets. I mean sure, we could just let them keep going and eventually own us, I mean shirts would be cheaper. Seems to me President Trump has shown the world that we are still a big power and not a 3rd world power as we were becoming. But politics is politics and music is music, and whatever politics CSNY have is their choice, and I care more about their great songs, not their political beliefs.

Graham is not a perfect man, and yes he tends to preach a bit heavily. But overall, I agree with his views. His music has reflected the hard times the United States has gone through. Not all trump supporters are racist nor bad, but as an artist it’s important to speak your mind.

We need more song writers who sing about politics and all the wrongs in the world. This was the case in the 60's and it worked. CSN was noted for outspoken verbalization against injustice and war.
