We know she is a true star, the Grand Dame of film, television and theatre but it’s her humbleness that makes her so endearing

I *love* Dame Maggie Smith... "I don't go anywhere where they (Americans) *can* get at me". Limiting her public outings to art galleries and museums, she doesn't think she'll ever run into an American. And as long as she also avoids Harrods (another American magnet), she figures she'll be fine. Too funny!
