Hey guys! Greetings from Brazil. I'm a great fan of Grai, the things you said you wanted in the song they have in a song called 'Поступь зимы' or 'Tread of winter' in english, i highly recommend you give it a try. It's an amazing song where the contrast between harsh vocals and clean vocals amazes me to this date. Abraços!

Well, there are a lot of bands herein Russia who play good music. The thing about Grai is that you can truly say its Russian-rooted, because the way they sing is the way our native folk russian singing sounds like. I adore respect and like all the bands who play good music, its not a problem to sing in any manner. But there is something in these women of Grai that makes me proud for my native culture - they really do it justice and bring us that incredible feeling of re-discovery and re-invention.

Google Translate say the title means: "Song of the dead water." This one of my favorite groups, and one of my favorite songs by them. They are amazing, and, wow, the masses of hair when they headbang - very impressive! This is an art form in an of itself.

в "объятьях Мары" у Грай как "я свободен" у Кипелова - эта песня нравится тем, кому не нравятся песни Кипелова. любая песня с альбома "Пепел" лучше, чем "в объятьях Мары"

Wow, Грай on your channel, I didn't expect it. And yeah, they are from Russia. ;) Great request, but I think that audio is from studio version... Name of a band is not like "gray", "a" is like "i" in "I am". In english letter "a" have different pronunciation that in slavic languages. Not all bands from Russia are folk metal. You should listen bands like Wildways or Таймсквер, amazing bands.

Тем более, что если читать как "серый", то это совсем не отражает значения. "Грай" - крик ворона или в другом значении - птичий крик.

You guys should also check out Shade and A Water Well by the same band. There aren't that many live performances by them out there but I hope they'll be able to tour US and more of the Western Europe soon. The farthest they've been live was France, I think.

it's "ah" not "eh" :) the word "грай" means "play" in 99% of occasions it means "play the music". it remained the same in ukrainian lang, in russian it has one more letter.

В отечестве подобных просто не было тогда, ну кроме Арии о которой я и говорил. У нас то начали появляться метал банды в 00-ых. Помню что были "Коррозия металла" и ещё какие-то в 90-ых, но их единицы! Если советуете-послушаю и отпишусь!
