Hello mate, can you do me a favour and explain why being high horology means you cannot set the watch correctly? This not hacking thing makes no sense to me. Surely any high horological watch should be able to keep extremely accurate time and be actually on time? Sounds like posh BS to me to say you cannot have an accurate watch while paying thousands upon thousands of dollars for a watch
I do not actually know the fine details, but the gist of it is that hacking is a severe shock to the mechanics that is best avoided. I kind of appreciate that this may be correct ('hacking' is quite a rough term when you think about it!) and high horology is a world away from a bullet proof Rolex. I like to set a watch Bob On, but maybe this is just a hang over from the speaking clock (123) and my Casios? I would have embraced the non hacking (did you know that was a thing on HH?), but the sub second nonsense is plain ridiculous!!! I might pop into a VC AD on Tuesday and have it out with them Haha.
It's quite calming when you think about it. You find out if your watch runs fast or slow, then set accordingly and wait for it to become more accurate! Have zero idea of VC accuracy parameters either 😶
