Thanks! I was experimenting with a plugin (Melda MCharacter) which allows me to manipulate the harmonics of notes to create those "semi-harmonics" you're hearing here. It can be more subtle than using the actual pinch harmonics samples so it makes for more expressive sound 🤓

Although the only thing I'm doing differently here than before is using Melda MCharacter to blend in some overtones to make those "squealing" notes without using the actual pinch harmonics samples. I set the plugin to suppress the fundamental and the first overtone, and amplify the 2nd overtone. Then I bound the strength of the effect to MIDI CC
