Richard Vincent it’s a racing game it’s not a open world type of game sadly they have race tracks and I think some tracks they make And some cars interior is completely black
Had so much fun on this game with my ps3... I remember I played this game all day, all night, had tight races online with comfort tires lol... I miss those days :/ Now everybody is gone.. No one plays GT6, and I don't have the time to play this game :(
This game is 13 years old today with graphics still on par with modern racers of today. This game franchise took me into the world of mechanical engineering thank you Kaz and Polyphony for creating this masterpiece ❤
Brings back so many memories! 😭 I remember when it was my birthday, my sister woke me up early in the morning and gave me Gran Turismo 5. My brother had some other Gran Turismo games and he loved them. Everyone in my house use to race almost every weekend night including Fridays, and we had a lot of fun! I always use to pick the Pagani Zonda R.
This game has made me the awesome car entusiest I am so far ive driven Lamborghinis and a nice nissan gtr I love this game truly the best car simulator ever im glad to hold ov 11,000 hours on it literally!
... and still the best GT (or any other driving/sports videogame) trailer ever. The hype was real. Vettel looks like a baby! That year he started a streak of wins, I was like "oh the guy from the trailer", then next year "oh the guy from the trailer again", then next year "still that guy", then next year "ok the guy is a winner", I supported him just because he was "the guy from the trailer" who could easily reach 400 kph in a straight way. Great driver, also great trailer, great game, great song, great memories.
im only 12 years old. and i remember fondly of this game. i was 3 when i started playing this, i grew up with it and i have many memories that i will never get back. a lovely day in my old house back in 2012 i would switch on the ps3 and listen to the calm music and look at all the cars, race my dad and beat him each time. i wish i could go back to them days.
I was A normal little kid who bought this game it was so good that everyday when i came back from school i would play it for like 2 or 3 hours because of the graphics and when i click on this trailer it brings back so many good memories i really love this game its better then grand turismo 6 if you read this thanks for reading it
Yeah that is one reason I took the seat from my Datsun Bluebird and modded it some to have a "proper" playseat. another option is to look out for those chairs which includes sound system build-in, should cost around 60-100 euros and gives a nice kick onto the back by the bass. Try to look out from the internet if someone is selling a used G27 wheel, I got mine with 100 euros and have no regrets about getting it.
I remember I got chills watching that first person run on this trailer (Nurburgring I think) for the first time and ended up buying the game even before the ps3... Even not being so good at it, it's still one of my favorite titles/franchises.
Gran Turismo 5 was Developed by Polyphony Digital and Published by Sony Computer Entertainment it was released on PlayStation 3 it was released Dates EU November 24, 2010 NA November 24, 2010 AUS November 25, 2010 JP November 25, 2010
We cant ever know how long does it take for them to model a car, but at the current state GT5 cars (premium ones) are the best looking car models up to date on a racing game so far, personally cant complain about that. Standard vehicles in other hand are there only for a plus, which is better than having "only" 200 premium ones, which was the case with GT3 when it was launched.
@Texarmageddon No, that could be said of the Cinque or Tricolori, but the Hauyra is a completely new model. Improved Carbo-Titanium weave, new tub and chassis, active aerodynamics, gull-wing doors, reworked turboed AMG V12, etc. All of which not precent in the previous Zonda. And it couldn't be farther from the Enzo Ferrari; a track purposed hyper car, it lacks power locks and windows for gods sake (to save weight). The Hauyra however has all of those not to mention sat nav and comforable seats.
There's something about Gran Turismo that just always makes it look realistic. I remember first seeing GT3 and GT4 and thinking that it was the real deal. Of course, now looking back, I can notice all the jaggies and low res textures, but there is still something about it that transcends mere polygon counts and graphical effects. I've always been a fan of the Xbox (although i did own a PSone and PS2) but now I mainly use my gaming PC, but I must say, nothing has ever come close to the latest GT.
I think GT5 should have a huge update involving hundreds of cars. For instance, they could include a section of about 25 D1 Drift cars, legendary F1 cars and an up to date variety of F1 cars.
The difference between XL and collectors is that XL brings all DLC up to date and collector's was the GT5 First Editions, in the other hand prologue is out of date and also the servers are now offline. So my opinion is that if you can get Collector's Edition buy it, the DLC you can have it via PS Store. I Hope this answer helps you
Since gran turismo 6 is in production, let's hope that they put in several classic courses that are from GT2 and GT3 for example Rome night, red rock valley ad gindewald. And beautifully render the rest of the 800+ cars in premium.
Probably THE best car game i have ever played, sure it doesn't really depict what it feels like driving a 500bhp car on a race track but still they have at least delivered 1/10th of the real deal...
Well, GT5 has a track generator, so in generally speaking it has unlimited amount of tracks, yes I know those tracks doesnt look that good as the Real World circuits but offers huge fun and more and more lifespan for Online races.
It Challenges the player, yes there may be some cars you finally want to get but the reason those races are there is to challenge the player to test how good of a driver he or she is. There is always multiplayer if you have a couple of friends who play.
Let's dont forget that Polyphony Digital has still been adjusting the game, and the game has been out soon for 2 years, how many other game developer has done the same for a console ? EA and pals wont ever do the same, no but instead they're making the sequel to make more profits, I give PD my respect about their work.
step 1: mute the song, and pause at the very beggining. Step 2: search for Imagine dragons - Amsterdam. Step 3: start "Amsterdam", and the video 5 seconds in to the song. Dont know why these 2 mixed up so beautiful, but wow some songs are just perfect for the beauty of cars...
I don't know any recent DLC so I'll mention base cars. Theres the Acura ARX01 and 02, Aston Martin DBR9, Aston Martin Lolas, Aston Martin One 77, Audi R8 LMS, Audi R15, BMW GT3, Chevy C6R, Oreca FLM09, a bunch of Ferraris, Gumpert Apollo, Jaguar XKR Race Car, Cadillac CTSV, Cadillac Northstar, Shelby GT500, all Koenigsegg cars, lotus 2 Eleven, Maserati MC12, Mazda B09/06, Mosler MT900, Lambo Sesto Elemento, Panoz LMP01, a bunch of Pontiacs, Radical SR8, Saleen Raptor just to name a few.
2 years has passed and still game is maintenanced by the developers, cant imagine any other company doing that for a console game, others are only releasing "new" title between each 2 years so they are digging up their pockets over and over again for non-so improved game, Polyphony Digital got their interest in right position, my salutes.
Hello RU-vid-Community! I have a lot of memories concerning the Gran Turismo Series - from finishing the first one with my father when I was a kid to being disappointed by GT5. The thing is, I love the Series and my feelings and thoughts for it can never be erased, but today I am 23, my father died a long time ago, and I own a XBOX360 with Forza 3 & 4. I think PD messed up big time on GT5, focusing too much on graphics and things like GT-TV and GT-Academy. Please let GT6 rock, I miss you!
@fl2kac Thats because PD needs more staff, but theyre working more than we can see, PD have 150 people, and Turn 10 have 300 or so, 240 premium cars x 2 = 500 premium cars...
