Gt6 is a great game, but this is what the game needs: 1. Keep the 1,000 cars but make them all premium cars. 2. FOR GOD'S SAKE LOW LEVEL SPOILERS PLEASE!!! 3. Better engine noises, because a V8 camaro does not sound the same as a civic! 4.I would love an endless straight road to test top speed better. 5. better damage physics 6.Drag racing 1/4 track for multiplayer 7. The game is not complete without a 944. :)
Japanese don't care for drag racing. I suppose that's why it isn't included. Maybe if western fans keep asking for it, it might happen on a new title. I personally don't care for drag racing. I don't consider it real racing at all. I agree with all other suggestions.
The there is a 1/4 track in GT6, the seconds straights on the Indy road course from the end of the yellow lines to the bridge is about a 1/4 mile (370 Meters)
A shame I never had a chance to experience stuff like this when the servers were still up, but this is all good stuff here! I miss seeing videos like these, especially when you're seeing them while the servers were still up!
That's not how nitrous works. Just because it says it adds 100% doesn't mean it doubles your horsepower. I think you've been watching too much Fast and the Furious.
I said it was a theory, nobody knows what "100%" of nitrous injection means in this game but you can obviously see this car sticking with 1000hp cars so how can it not double the HP? The game doesn't give actual HP readings for nitrous for example 100 shot, 200 shot etc. Once again, its a theory, if you have a more logical answer instead of trying to be a smart ass please elaborate, if not, then don't bother replying.
We don't need the best visuals, audio, or parts flying everywhere to keep us entertained. I salute Polyphony for sticking to the true spirit of a driving simulator.

Anyone rewatching after the servers went down. Poured hundreds of hours into this amazing game. Favorite game of all time. No question. Nothing but fond memories in this game.
Being an xbox user im pretty jealous of the car selection and whatever track/road this is. Wangan type racing is what i always wanted in forza. The Graphics and kinda lame engine/exhaust sounds are a small price for the content IMO.

Not So Retro Gamer Not gunna lie the graphics are shit lol. They look like PS2 graphics, minus the models outer polygon count(interiors are poo). Comparing to Forza or games like Assetto Corsa, it looks bad. Hopefully PS4 version is up to the graphical and audio snuff it should be.
team0blackmanner I disagree. I think the graphics in GT look stellar, at least from an artistic point of view. Granted, it can look like an HD PS2 game with a "standard" car on an updated PS2 track like trial mountain for example, so it's highly inconsistent. But when it's at it's best, from the lighting, texturing and modeling. To details like the smoke which is realistically thick, lighted and shaded, it is the most authentic looking of all sims!! I've tried em' all. Assetto corsa, project cars, Rfactor, iRacing, Forza 5, etc. And though they are technically VASTLY superior graphically (except for Rfactor, which is a bit behind the times), their art direction just isn't as good as Polyphony's. I wish they were, but they just don't look as life like.. I mean, look at this video at 6:50. Remove the hud, and that could pass for a real C7 corvette driving through a real tunnel!!! It's nuts!
i like the graphics and those wouldn't be a problem for me, but the car sound is something else, i mean to me part of the joy of racing a powerful car is hearing it's engine roar/scream while i'm tearing around the track. Don't get me wrong i loved GT4 to death, but ever since i tried forza i can't go back to GT, not untill they fix the sound and get rid of the paint chip shit :/
Though Gran Turismo is not a real simulator, it is the most fun racing game out there for one simple reason in my opinion. The whole atmosphere they have created in the game. The music, the menus, the car options. All the classics are there and even more! This game is made by car lovers for car lovers.
Yarach It's the best simulator they can make without charging a ridiculous amount for it. You should see the technology the military uses to train their HMWWV and tank drivers.
Those humvee simulators are incredible. But I am talking core ca physics. If you take for example rFactor 2 or Assetto Corsa, they are far ahead of the simulation aspect. But you have to keep the balance between simulation and arcade. rFactor and AC are pure simulators, there is nothing much else.I love Gran Turismo for its car enthousiast aspect. And the good value of course. :)

Nice vid I had a 91 mr2 turbo years ago with je pistons on bottom end and fully built head all hks stuff.....brings back memories. Made 324 to wheels, fun car but had to be really careful taking turns
People are just being deceived by the standard cars, they're PS2 graphics, but there's premium cars on this game that are PS3 graphics, but you're also right about the quality, RU-vid cuts it down a lot.
i don´t exactly know how much hp are making while using it but in the description of the configuration says that is the quantity applied when you use it and regualte how longer the bottle of nos last. for example my Toyota Supra RZ have a top of 70% of nos maybe the nos multipies the hp during the time is used. im not that sure :D

HIboostRaceClubRAWHD suprised yes and no.. dude i was doing this stuff on test drive II the duel back in the mid 80's and i doubt you were even born at that time. whats funny is to see it still happening today, and how good it now looks in comparison to the real thing. As for drag racing in general.. ive been on the scene since the 70's, saw the last age of the musclecars and the rebirth of street racing in the 80's up until today. from hot spots in several states, NY FL CALI, it does the heart good to once again see in alive and well in games.
Ok, but I was talking about being surprised to see any type of drag racing in a racing game, you should of already knew this was gonna happen since you've been around that long, you're hysterically laughing as if you can't believe it or something lol It's just common sense really, technology improves, graphics improves, and racing inspires people, whether it be in real life or in video games, hell GT has made gaming racers into real life professional racers if you didn't know.
HIboostRaceClubRAWHD I may get a PS3 just for GT6. Looks like the customization and handling have really improved since GT4, which I wasn't so sure about with GT5. Fingers crossed that the sound patch will be good! If all 1200 cars get brand new engine sounds, that will blow my mind.
Same here man, Kaz said they're working on sounds in a "totally new way" so hopefully it's an easier and better way which could mean better sounds for all cars first patch!
this is soooooo bad ass!!!!.. i played gt1 when i was young and now we have this... so awesome. .... gt is still a genuine game its all about the driving simulation.
Because all of you were wondering, a 100 shot of nitrous is equal to 100 hp on average. So you're actually making somewhere around 600 hp. Nitrous works because the gas no2 holds more Oxygen than regular air does, creating a bigger bang. its like compressed air in a non compressed form. You're sticking with these cars because your car has a similar power to weight ratio when nitrous is applied, as well as a shorter gear box (even though you upgraded it seems you never tuned it, meaning you accelerate quickly, but to a very low top speed, a longer gear box would be the opposite) All of the cars you're racing, R34's, Supras, Corvettes, they all weigh upwards of 3200 lbs, to 3700 lbs, while your car weighs only 2,600 lbs. Thats like adding 8 people to your car. do the math, 3500/1000 vs 2600/600 is very close [the closer you are to 1 the better] So no, you're not making 900+ HP with the MR2, but you have a good power to weight ratio that lets you keep up with them for a short while.
Until someone can prove otherwise, I'm sticking with this theory, and obviously this video proves that the MR2 is POSSIBLY capable of making 100% of the car's power when on nitrous considering it's keeping up with 1000+hp cars.

And when have you ever seen a nitrous system fitted to a car that equals exactly the amount of bhp the car produces on it's own? That's not how nitrous systsms work. You were keeping up with half of those cars without any nitrous left in the tank.
crcn11 There's no straight forward answer for how nitrous works in this game, I know that's not how it works in real life, but in real life, you will find out how much of a shot you're running, but in this game all they show is percentage, how do we calculate that? Not 100HP (100%) cause if so then the MR2 would have 584HP and that's impossible to calculate it that way if I'm sticking with 1000hp race weight cars, mind you the MR2 is FULL WEIGHT as well, and I was I keeping up with cars without nitrous? Really? Go to 7:10 and tell me that again, the Supra literally left me by bus lengths then got off it for me to catch up -_-
@Crcn11 have you ever played this game? Because if u know you will find out that 100% does not meen 100 bhp. I drive 1217bhp Nissan Gtr in game, and if i do a drag launch with nos (70%) it feels like the car accelerates about twise as fast. This would not happen with only 70 bhp more.
The high way roll runs look fun as hell. I've never played this game so without playing I'd give it a 6/10 for car selection and game play. The graphics aren't bad but are not good either. Go ahead and call me out for complaining about graphics but realism is what I go for in games, and graphics are a huge part of that. The car sounds arn't good either but with over 1,000 cars that is to much work.
yeah GT 6 has about 1,200+ cars(including rewarded cars & GT vision cars) and its hard to put amazing graphics and sound on all those cars, but what GT has that others don't is realistic driving graphics they actually scan cars and tracks put realistic car driving in here rather then looks & sound that's why its considered a simulator racing game rather then arcade racing game like Forza, NFS, etc. I'm sure GT7 will have better graphics and sound(i hope).
Parametric Records It's actually improved by leaps and bounds, they've just kept the frame rate and resolution mostly the same in order to avoid fixing something that isn't broke. It's a very slow evolution. Just compare GT1 with GT6 and you'll see what I mean.
It just came out, give it some time, and considering this is still on the PS3 how much of a difference did you expect? There will be monthly updates for this game and they probably wanted to shut down GT5 so everyone can be converted over to GT6, it's like a better version of GT5, more content, tracks, so why not upgrade if you already like the series?
I'm sure the same could be said about GT5 Academy too. I can't see why S0NY would want to kill On-Line for GT5 if not to push everyone onto GT6. This reeks so much of the same sh-- that PD was pulling back when GT5 first came out and was talking sh-- about the Logitech G27 Wheel. Which in the end turned out to be a One massive load of Bullsh--. To push the Thrustmaster T-500 Wheel into the Market. GT5 was my first, and my last foray with PolyphonyDigital. I may pick-up a used cheap copy of the Academy Edition thoug, If only to pick up most of the DLC Tracks/Cars that I'm still missing. But, I'll be damned if I'll support this kind of duchbagery any longer...
Just see if you'll get your money's worth in terms of content and make a decision from there, GT6 has more content than GT5 and expectedly, and being that GT6 is the newest title, it will get more attention in terms of updates and making it a better game/series, and considering I didn't have to buy a PS4 for something that still looked like PS3 I said why not. GT7 will do justice for the series and officially put it back on the map I'm sure of it, if I remember correctly GT5 was rushed that's why it was incomplete, well now there should be no excuse for GT7, they had more than enough time.
This game is awesome and fun but my god the graphics suck, and the sounds are terrible and no interiors on some cars. It's Like it's an unfinished game
Yeah couldn't agree more I bought assetto Corsa on steam and my god in terms of physics and realistic driving it's incredible! Although graphics aren't spectacular and project cars is made by the same people who made the shift series so should be amazing... As long as they fix the very sensitive steering that was annoying. Luckily for PC there's a mod to fix that.

beyond305 Live for speed portrays what car physics should be...too bad it doesn't have alot of support though. I honestly learned how to drift using it, then stepped in my 240sx just a week ago and did it no problem :)
I do as well, but that's pretty much the only thing wrong with this game..I know it's crucial but at least there are sounds right? Kaz needs to hurry up with the sound update he's talking about.
I'm a Forza boy but this game seems amazing just make it to where you can actually see the interior, and better sounds then I will save up for a PS5 and also have this big of a car selection idc if it isn't open world or not
They defiantly need to have less Japanese cars. Theres 675 Japanese cars, 145 USA cars, 69 UK cars, 133 German cars, 57 French cars and 66 Italian cars. Kinda ridiculous that over 60% of the whole games cars are fucking Japanese. And whats the point of putting in cars like Nissan Leaf, Toyota Prius and Honda Fit. No one is ganna fucking drive those. I don't understand why we need 16 different models of Civics and 53 different Skylines. The game has 1,197 cars but no 70's Ford Escort, Bentley Continental, Koenigsegg, Aston Martin DB5, Henessey Venom GT or Rolls Royce. We defiantly need more or every car to be prenium, and for fucks sake, please upgrade the engine sounds.

TheCryptCrusader Then you need to realize that Gran Turismo is Japanese (since it was made by Kazunori Yamauchi) and needs more and more and more Japanese cars. Gran Turismo is not a place for having foreign cars exceed the number of Japanese cars (let's say we have over 9000 Japanese cars here and if there are 11000 foreign cars that are not from Japan, Kaz would have to retire from PD, the company behind Gran Turismo).
jordi terrats molina although i said that Forza 5 is better than GT6, i love Gran Turismo series. Gran Turismo is my favorite racing videogame franchise. I love all GT games. But Forza 5 is better than GT6 just because it was released in a different gen of consoles, just for that. I´m sure that the next gran tursmo game (it is going to be on PS4) will kick the asses from evey racing game ever made

U cannot really argue gt6 with Forza 5 because Forza 5's handling is really unrealistic, I got in a Ariel atom V8 in Forza 5 and it's never griped. Where as in real life it sticks to the ground like glue. Also it's more of an arcade game than a simulator, also the engines sound artificial
