Just worked for me, big thanks. I was actually slightly more fuel efficient while being in automatic. Big thing is being in fuel map 4 on this car, the game shifts much better than it does when you have more power coming. It'll hover in high RPMs for too long if you're in FM 1. I threw it into FM1 for just a second, on the part that goes uphill right before the final turn to finish off the race. Helped a bit because the car struggles to make it up that hill in a lower fuel map. Still had like 2.6% fuel left, so I probably could have found somewhere else to burn that tiny bit but I'm happy enough with the gold, no need to try to set a world record now 😀

Aparte de jugar con en ahorro de combustible lo más importante es administrar la aceleración, tratar de entrar y salir de las curvas con el mismo impulso que traes de la recta., así no tendrás que acelerar en medio de la curva y ahorras combustible. También deber tratar de llegar a la curva soltando el acelerador unos 50 o 100 metros antes, así solo usarás el freno para no pasar en la curva y ahorras combustible.

Awesome guide, used this mapping to get the gold. There's room to move the mapping closer to 1 on the final straight to eke out a slightly more comfortable time

Much appreciated man. This mission is the last thing I need for all gold on this set. I've tried it many times and have always run out of gas and coasted to a 2:05:065 at best currently 😭 my GT DD should be here tomorrow though and I'll try it again then
Will try this tonight, was beginning to wonder if it's even possible without a wheel. Best I got is 2.07. Almost at the point I can't be bothered playing at all. Impressive time though mate.
I found that if you run the track in 4, then switch to 3 for the back straight away (where you get the most speed) then right back to 4 to finish it out you’ll get gold.
just got 2:03.894 this method works.. best advice would be to start braking earlier, before the turn, and then let off the brake gradually.. this will let the car pull you through the turn. this car is slow as fuck and you need to maintain as much speed as possible. I actually started off in map 3 and then once I approached the first turn I switched to map 4.. once you're on the back end of the track I switched to map 6 I also didn't run out of gas until just Crossing the finish line
That last turn gets me every time. I did a 2.05.5. And I keep getting close, I'll be ahead of my ghost enough but then at that last turn I get jt wrong and hit the wall or slow down too much,...ugh
Also playing on controller. It seems like maybe the 1.0.6 patch might have changed something with fuel mappings, because if I play the track with mappings 4 into 5, I am well off the time but also with 10% fuel remaining. Switching to mappings 3 into 4 makes it a lot closer to what I saw in the video
I completed it with no traction control and with setting 4 on the fuel the whole lap. And on the last straight I put it at 1 and that was the most effective one for me. Took me around 30 min to complete it. Good luck guys
this just doesnt work for me. i keep running out of fuel just before the finish line. ive been trying this for days. ive also noticed that even though im using the same stratagy. im using more fuel then you at certain sections.
This is impossible for me I've I've golded all the licence inclusing s10 but this is too hard edit just got it used TCA 3 most of the way and coasted the corners
Thanks dude, I really struggled with this challenge, always coming 0.1 to 0.3 seconds short of a gold medal, but after watching your guide, I beat this callenge on first try with a time of 2:04.869 😁 Also, I was using a controller and automatic transmission.
Are we playing the same game? The first turn, I have 73 fuel while u have 80....wtf? TCS set to 4.....tried TCS to 5, 32 percent on the first checkpoint.......
on a couple challenges, i literally beat my pb ghost, and it says that time was worse when i clearly beat it. i also dont get how everybody is beating this and im not even close
This challenge is bs iv Ben at it for 6 days now and only getting slower times each tim. I have the thing on 4 but have 27% fuel when I’m only half way. I’ve completed all the other challenges but this one
It's in the game today (Legend Cars), but this in this video is a supplied car for this particular mission (it's not yours, it's what the game gives you), but you probably know this by now. :)
Took me 4 days I HATE this challenge. But Some tips: - Turn on racing Line, it helps - do not rev engine at start - Just rev until the red while driving - I kept Mixture at 1 until the second hairpin. There I put it on lean. Until the last straight where I used a bit more power to van speed (if you have enough fuel. Again I HATE this challenge. Good luck!!
I got my time from 2:12 to 2:06.356 after watching your video. Just gotta skim another 1.5 seconds off. Idk i might try it in manual as i notice it'll be lagging on shifting to keep accelerating
