A small part side by side comparison of the amazing Gran Turismo 1 & 7 to see the differences 25 years of visual progress, raced on Trials Mountain and High Speed Ring.
I've enjoyed playing every GT from the first one on the PS1 to GT7 on the PS5 25 years later. Such an amazing franchise.
Sorry I couldnt use the original GT music due to copyright stuff.
I used an emulation for GT1 and have lowered the resolution and details to match that of the original PS1 as close as possible.

my opinion is: I restarted to play GT1 and GT2 .these games are way more fun than gt7! GT1 has a better sense of speed, and when Im playing GT7 I start to be sleepy! lol

Lol same here. Racing games nowadays are trying too hard to be a simulation, which is best enjoyed with steering wheel. Although I have fallen asleep more whilst playing Forza Motorsport than I do with GT7.

GT1 & GT2 were much faster for sure. Even back then, the dev had to make the game even faster for regions outside Japan because the original Japanese version wasnt fast enough.

The Corvette C4 Grand Sport was one of my absolute favorite cars in Gran Turismo when I was a kid. I loved the blue color with the white stipe.

Gameplay is much faster for sure. Definitely wont get sleepy whilst playing them.

I thought it was a decent game, but not as fun GT2 though since that felt faster and more exhilarating. The car shop in all other GT games (except GT Sport) was better as well since the used car shop in GT7 was a bit of a joke.

Personally Gran Turismo 2 is my favourite. So far Gran Turismo 7 is a major cash-grab disappointment except for the graphics and handling.

I didnt experience any paygate with GT7 so far. Didnt have to replay races to grind for money either and I’ve almost beaten the game. Although GT7 doesnt let u have the same freedom to buy cars like on GT2 as some cars pops up with time limited purchases, which is a bit annoying.
