Small note I don't seem to see anyone mention, but anytime after the pink flash on her charge attack if you time the release with an incoming attack you will "parry" and gain your dodge invincibility. It doesn't come up often but at 21:35 for example you could have simple held the charge a little longer and released. Ferry can also do this with her Hold X attack.
Even tho I already built her I will def. watch it later when I want to chill out. I could literally just watch you playing the game and explaining what you do and why and I would be satisfied cause your vids and voice are so good to watch and listen to😌
Ps4 is like hella cheap af depends where you look for it. Got mine from my homie's brother for $190 and still runs strong for 8 years now cus i been cleaning inside and out
Great video! Just one quick note, after a free flutter finisher you have max charge speed for dawn fly so no need to do any attacks or use skills if you’re just trying to stack your butterflies up
Man it is very hard for me to follow you. You seem very good with the character and know what you're talking about but you should think about how fast you're talking while chaining mechanics.
She hits pretty much all the strike zones for. . . well; a lot of players, so it's no surprise she's top of the playlists. I will say; she definitely seems. . . motivated.
Glad to see this, I've just broken in to Maniac difficulty and I've been trying to find some guides to get Narmaya ready for the endgame content. She's my main in basically every Granblue game that lets me play as her and now you've shown me what to grind for and ways to improve.
YES! My shortstack is finally here. THanks Enel. By the way, from personal experience, her parry skill can be used in a very fun way. See when bosses do ridiculous AOE stuff, like Id or Bahamut or that weird robot, she can pop the skill, get slow on the boss and then you immediatelly dodge to get perfect dodge 100% of the time. It's just a nice thing if you tend to go ham a bit too much, saved my ass more times than I can count. And as you guys know alive Narmaya > dead Narmaya, you cant DPS if you suck and die.

Yeah I should probably do something else for other videos, it was just the only thing I fought after getting all my gear for the character but think people realize he's kinda a solved fight at this point.
TYSM for this character guide, I was recently thinking about switching characters because while she does look like the most enjoyable character to play I was worried I didn’t know to play her well because of my more often than not lack-luster performance because i’m always getting around 6-7 Million honors in proto bahamut which is considerably lower than my other teammates I’m pretty sure.
"Narmaya is one of the most popular characters in Granblue for better or for worse." As a Narmaya fan (I wish I could play this game), there are many reasons she's popular "I cannot blame you because she is definitely a really fun character who is able to put out some of the highest damage in the game with her ability to shift stances and use finishers if you are able to time everything correctly." and that's one of the reasons across all Narmayas in every game "not to mention the butterfly mechanic can increase the damage of her abilities significantly as well." That's another reason. Sadly, though patented, not every Narmaya has that ability... for some reason.
Fun fact: kyoka suigetsu means Butterfly Water Moon A Japanese proverb about the things you can see but not possess. Like me wanting Narmaya as a wife cuz she's best girl but can never have her 😂 Bonus fun fact the main villian of the first half of Bleach by Tite Kubo, Aizen Sousuke's Shikai or first released blade form is also Named Kyoka Suigetsu and has the power to completely control any and all senses of the person who witnesses its release. Kind of wished she also had a visible gauge of her butterflies like several weapons in Monster Hunter. It’s really hard to keep track of how many I got with the screen getting as busy as it is.
you said the supp damage from the sigils and her buff stack, do you mean the chance to proc or does her buff grant an additional attack (so normal attack + supp attack from sigil + supp attack from buff = 3 dmg numbers with one attack?)
I want Katalina Guide there is a lack of them online and really enjoy the way you make your video. As for Narmaya its just gonna be a hard pass from me for obvious reasons.

You mentioned the wonkey targeting.. did you experience it in Pyet-A aswell? I felt like punching a hole in the wall when I tried to get a lock-on on the boss instead of the floaty things x.x
I see that you have no Critical Damage up at all or Combo Booster , are they not useful ? Is it because you have the best weapon already ? I should just not equip any of them ?
So I'm already hitting damage caps on everything with unconditional damage boosters except on one ability which is really close, those are the main reasons I'm not running that.
I thought for sure Charlotta would be next since you were showing her at lvl 100 and in your party in the other videos! I've been very interested in Narmaya though so no complaints here. ive been interested in all of the characters honestly. Every character in this game is amazing.

Started farming Proto-Bahamut two days ago and her Terminus weapon was one of the first I got. I enjoyed playing as her already so I decided to learn a little more for long-term use. I can definitely see some of the frustration of online players. She's really fun but also difficult, you need very good timing and concentration.
Nimble Onslaught is potentially alot better than Quick Cooldown in actual combat if you have it. You get -5% CDR per perfect dodge as well, but you also get 5% SBA gauge and +3 seconds invulnerability on perfect dodge (need to learn this anyway on Narmaya), which can enable combo finishers in the invulnerability window. One Quick Cooldown for 10% and two Nimble Onslaught for the full bonus instead of another 10% flat CDR. Just level 15/16 Drain is also insane on Narmaya, healing her to full in one full combo from 1%. Sample build (mine): Butterfly's Awakening+ War Elemental Tyranny V/Cascade DMG Cap/Nimble Onslaught DMG Cap/Nimble Onslaught DMG Cap/Drain DMG Cap/Potion Hoarder Crit Rate/Stamina Supp DMG Supp DMG Supp DMG Improved Dodge/Quick Cooldown 20% Crit Rate, 20% Skill Cap, 20% Normal Cap Over Mastery Last slot doesn't really matter, but 1k Attack would help to meet some damage caps naturally without a buffer (doesn't make a huge difference).
@@EnelXC I don't really expect most people do be good at her to begin with. Lol But yea, I think it's (one of) the highest possible potential builds other than Glass Cannon. But that's only viable for no hit runs, which not even the best speedrunners get consistently on the harder fights. Didn't mean it to be a replacement for the build you've shown, but rather another option that's great in the right hands.
My favorite character in the game by far however it is pretty difficult to perform her combos in actual combat, has a great return on investment if you are willing to put in the time and are ok with being the guys at 0:00 at first 😅
You guide is wrong in a couple of places , you said two things that are just wrong. 1st. Late game there is rarely Blight. 2nd. That one skill does way more damage in purple stance not pink stance.
I’m really glad you’re making guides for a game I’m actually playing. I understand the praise but personally I kinda hate Xenoblade games, especially the combat. Yet I’ve always found your guides really interesting and well made. Watching someone with a deep understanding of a game’s mechanics break them down is just something I find really engaging… even if I can’t stand the game lol Looking forward to more GB guides!

Small question, you said only some characters can reach 40 million dps in the dummy, was curious as to which those were, trying to get a scale for who is the highest dps character in the game just out of curiousity.
Great guide! I don't understand 1 thing... She has butterflies and color defines the stance... why the f in the last fight she has size of 9x9 pixels and is covered by boss head or arm all the time so I cannot see anything during dmg dealing parts ?
it will be nice if baha isnt the go to fight to showcase a character since essentially it is just a glorified dummy fight. A fight like wolf and veil should be mixed in as well to show how the character can perform in a situation where you are constantly interrupted.
good guide bahamut isnt a good example for a fight (hes way to easy and scripted) its better to showcase some gameplay on some actuall hard proud bosses so we can see the strining of the combos better and stuff while dodging
I didn't play the original Granblue Fantasy (ironic considering a game I play called Kamihime Project is almost exactly like it). But I did hear that Narmaya is one of the more OP characters in the original. I'm not surprised they made her so OP here too.
22:41 sometimes when you’re not sure whether the sba/cb will kill an enemy its better to do 2 chains back to back for more uptime on the boss cause they always flinch every chainburst no matter if its full or 2chain On pbhl case doing this after the 2nd set of arcadia crystals will usually let the party skip supernova entirely when done after break Maybe the sieg doesn’t trust yall to kill it lmao
Been running stout heart on her and now I don't think I could play melee again without it... I'm tempted to drop the dps cd for the def cd now though. Curious if face tanking a dodge phase will make up for the lack of dps cd...
I ran the buffs for a while but once you get end game the two character exclusive sigils she gets break her open. 50% to keep butterflies and I think 2 butterflies instead of one. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I go all attack skills to leverage it. I haven’t grinded too much at maniac but it’s already ridiculous.
@@kennethhernandez9243 I'm not playing anymore, but once you get to proud, the issue isn't really how much damage you do, but how easy it is to get one-tapped by mechanics that you can't even see properly. Butterfly generation feels like a bait though. Better to get the other one with a good, different sigil
Took me a really long time. Keep grinding. I recommend to do a boss that you can speed through quickly. That way you can farm curios and silver centrums.
I’m not really sure what I’m missing, I’ve got almost the same build but the highest I can hit is around 23M damage. I have 2 supp damage IVs instead of Vs and max damage cap too
Was looking forward to this one! Thank you Enel! I think you forgot to mention that her Dawnfly charged attack can be used to attacks, granting her invincibility if timed correctly. Hard to pull off, but very satisfying to keep her rotation going against harder bosses.
I find hitting the dummy for that big number record is completely useless. You’re never gonna put that number up on a boss cause of multiple factors. I use Siegfried and tend to always mvp amongst these high damage meta characters. It comes down to knowing the fight and performing well under all the attacks to keep attacking and maintain pressure. She can be a high damage character but if you don’t know the fight, good luck seeing any good numbers on your end
if i dont have sigil war elemental, what sigil can be used? after play 100 hours and spent more than 300 curio still no war elemental sigil feelsbadman
hmm well skill damage up could work for setsuna and if you're feeling risky glass cannon can still give a bit of a damage increase, or just something defensive til you can get that war elemental.
@@EnelXC Ahh, I see! That seems like a better way to go about things than trying to go for perfect overmasteries with one crit sigil, which was my deal.
Interesting notes about Setsuna: despite how it looks, its only a single target attack, prioritizing whatever you have targetted. The followup hit from her sheathing will ALWAYS hit your target no matter if they outrange you afterwards, as long as the first hit connected.
2:44 IMPORTANT CORRECTION: Three normal attacks into a hold attack is NOT the fastest way to charge the dawnfly area attack. The fastest way is to combo into dawnfly from a freeflutter perfect finisher. Doing so immediately gives you the dawnfly quick charge without having to do the normals beforehand. Because of this you should almost always aim to do your dawnfly charge following a perfect stance change - NOT by doing the 3 dawnfly normals into a charged attack. It is much lower dps and puts you more at risk to being interrupted.
Went into training mode immediately after this to test this and I'm guessing I was holding the charge too early cause I know before it wouldn't even do a charge attack when I held the button after a stance change finisher and I know if I tried afterwards it would get the very slow charge but sure enough now when I tried it then it behaved as you said. Don't think it invalidates the rest of the guide since from a neutral position with no cooldowns up it's probably the best way and the tips about link attack and using an art before hand still apply for quick stance change but I do feel a bit silly for that.
@@puracheacha lot of people have high stun attacks and can stun the boss easy without slotting stun at all it’s not worth it I just slot link together because that is the strongest thing in the game
the only thing you need to know about ferry is to spam jump attack because they absolutely gutted the dmg caps of her ground attacks. like it is not even worth tapping onslaught over spamming more jump attacks even in link time
I run glass cannon, sup damage, 3 damage cap, her special sigils, cascade, crit dmg up and stun for the most part. with her terminus at +99 she's absolutely broken
@@slippynipzit is a pure dps loss to do anything that isn't jump spam, strafe, umlauf or purge/link to refresh spirits. hinrichten is also a dps loss since it takes so long to cast, but it grants you dps uptime via invincibility so overall you would still take it. the only time you should ever do onslaught is if you need to break the boss's stun bar and your team mates are being unhelpful. her ground x/square combos are absolutely terrible with garbage caps, never ever do those unless it's like on pyet-a in bloodthirst when he puts up the no-melee zone
Strafe, Umlauf, Purge and X/Onslaught has literally gifted me sub 1:50 clears on Proto Bahamut. I really dont get your reasoning. Ferry is one of the most used and OP characters because of this. Hardly anyone jumps and stays in the air, her DPS is significantly lower because of her attack speed in the air.@@aliasonarcotics
