Part 2 of our 4-day Rim to Rim backpacking trip in Grand Canyon National Park! This is the North Rim part of the trip from Bright Angel Campground to Grand Canyon Lodge. This was an amazing experience. The north rim was so amazing and like a whole different world from the south rim. We absolutely loved our little cabin and our experience with Trans Canyon Shuttle was nothing short of amazing! Our driver Maggie was not only an excellent driver but also a great storyteller and patiently answered all of our questions for the whole 4-hour drive :) she also stopped along the way to let us explore and showed us Condors under the Navajo Bridge!

Super enjoyed watching this! I watch a lot of these tracks into the Grand Canyon, because it was a dream of mine. That’s gone beyond my capabilities, now due to my age and physical limitations. . What I particularly enjoyed about this was the dialogue was enjoyable he didn’t excellent job catch, capturing the scenery and the flora and Fauna. also you did something I rarely see in these videos was you stop to try to capture the depth of these canyons and the layers of canyon upon Canyon within Canyon that make up the Grand Canyon. Well done

Great job. I wonder if my fear of heights would ruin this for me? Happy to be you're 100th subscriber🖖

Thank you 😊 It didn’t bother my sister and she has a somewhat fear of heights, but I think it would depend how severe it is. There definitely are some spots that are very sharp drop offs, but you can stay close to the wall and not look down if you want to.

Starting at 5:30…dang! I guess that is best to beat the heat. Awesome video! When is the best time of year to do the rim to rim to rim hike? Crow✌️

We went in May because that’s the earliest spot we could get once the North Rim opens on May 15th. They close the roads down between October and May 15th every year and there’s no access. May is as late as I would want to go due to heat.. we went in early September once before and it was still too hot. If you want to hike back (R3) you can can go anytime. I’m thinking a winter hike is next on my Grand Canyon agenda. 😊

Great videos. Glad to see not everyone just rushing the rim to rim trail. How did you charge your phones and camera on the trail? Was their a way to charge at Phantom Ranch?

Thank you! We wanted to enjoy every second!! We had solar battery packs! We put them on the outside of our packs while we hiked during the day and then charged our phones at night. I don’t recall the brand, just cheap ones from Amazon 😊 For my camera, I used a GoPro and I took 6 batteries along but think I only used 4.
