I have never seen a curtain able to open in both ways. I would like to know more on the technical aspect of that mechanism.

it’s just weights that are the same pounds of the curtain because if not it would not be helpful

I noticed your act curtain "back-packs" as it draws open (it gathers its fullness offstage, rather than at the split). Did you order that action specifically when you installed the rigging? Is there any unique regular maintenance you need to do with it?

I would love to know the answer to this question. Years and years ago, I went to an open house at the opera theater in my city. When I asked the person who pulled the curtain about the back pack operation, he seemed to act like I was from Mars. He said that the curtain gathered at the center, which would be visible from the audience. It is not - it gathers, bunches or stacks offstage. I would like to see a video of the mechanism that makes that happen.
