This game is so much fun on my phone, using PPSSPP emulator. The english ISO is easy to find. For the total cost of 'free,' it's so worth it. To have this game on the subway is just amaze-balls.

I tried playing the game in an emulator. I'm glad that we have Cheats that can unlock all of the items that you can purchase even in the online war mode. I gotta admit that it is too grindy for its own good, but the power fantasy with your select 4-man squad is nice
I think Odin Sphere Leifthrasir and Muramasa are better games, but GKH might beat out Dragon's Crown. Can't say for sure though until after playing it officially localized. Wish they would bring this over.
haven't played Grand Kingdom yet but I'm absolutely more into GKH artstyle and system even the environment design are way more unique would be really thankful if they bring this gem back to PS4 and Vita sometime later
Awesome Video, great explanation as how the game works, I installed this yesterday with a English patch on my hacked PS vita that run HENkaku & enzo, and it runs flawlessly, still having Japanece voices but English text, just creating characters and roll for good/perfect stats was super addicting, I canno't stop min-maxing when the option for it is there xD love Tactics RPGs like this so gonna be a good ride, played alot of Vanillawares other games to and they all look stunning.
Yes I have. I don't enjoy it that much myself... I am more into interactive games and not story-based. However I do appreciate the art and the craft of Vanillaware as always.
@@guerrillavanilla Oh no, don't get me wrong Judgement is a sidescrolling beat'em'up with some simplified fighting game commands on top. It has 3 attack buttons which flow into each other and the hardest input is probably a quarter circle + button. In fact its accessibility is what got me interested in the fighting game genre and helped me understand how combos and specials work.
@@guerrillavanilla Awesome, I hope you like it. I always wished that game got the recognition it deserves, there's barely any coverage on it here on youtube. If you get your hands on it try to start out with the characters in the center, they're the easiest to pick up (pushing square lets you select the default color) There's also a command list in the pause menu, which shows you how to do the special inputs and that's pretty much all the info you need. Have fun!
How does it hold up without online mode? I played it for 10h and it becomes kind of stale, same missions etc. I can imagine the game would be better if I could, as intended by the publisher, send my knight to battle in the online mode and start training new knights in the solo mode but without it the game, although beautiful, seems very bland and there so no real incentive to train new characters. Combat only differs for the main bosses battles, which are very rare and for 99% of time you fight with cannon fodder enemies when you use the same attacks. The online mode was going to be the main mode of this game so without it the game loses it's direction.
Since the game was foundationally designed for players to spend the vast majority of their playtime online, and that's where you get most of the good spells and good gear, it probably doesn't fare all that well on single player only :[

I gave up on that as well. Use the shaders to make your game look better instead. It seems that the guy who did the hd retexture of this game is a scammer who steals other people's retexture work and only adds little work on the side.
You're out of your damn mind if you think that tbh, the only way Dragon's Crown is better than OS is if you're talking about PS2 OS and not Odin Sphere Leifthrasir
How this game is not popular and boring ass generic rpg final fantasy is blows my mind. Everything about this game blows FF out of the block in its genre except maybe the story.
I have to make this worthless comment. Ristia is a terrible continent name. To make a good name, make it easy to say, but kind of odd to hear so it actually sounds like a name. A good example is think of 2 syllables, one that is smooth or rolls of the tongue and the other harsh are jagged sounding. Raygorth, Rinegith, Rixtris, Krista, Rigta, Xulesh, Joogrim, Xigbar(KH name example). Please just make better names. None of these are even in my top 10 that I personally made. Please, the effort is worth it.
