GRAND LARCENY PRECON UPGRADES - Outlaws of Thunder Junction "Theft" Deck

I built more into the ninjas theme and the deck play very well with them

The issue I find with this, in this deck, by the time you can kick it, and you have to have it by turn 3 at latest, your opponent likely got all they needed out of that Sol Ring to jump ahead of you while you're spending your turn trying to swipe it. The only way this feels good is if you go turn 1 Sol Ring and then turn 2, you drop the Skydiver with kicker off your Sol Ring. Then you stop them before they can go ham first. But a LOT has to go right for that to happen, including you having both cards AND an opponent has a ring down as well. A few too many things have to go perfectly right. I'd rather be setting up for stealing bigger and better stuff. Beyond stealing a Sol Ring, then you need 5-6 mana to start taking anything that's really good with it, but by then, you have much spells to be playing than trying to nick an artifact here or there. But your experience might be better, I've just never been happy with the card even before this deck.

The Mimeoplasm is kind of borderline in the original build, and Gix would be what I'd take over it. If I had an Expropriate to put in, I'd likely run that over Helm of Possession that I slotted into the upgrades. It's a card that is good but a little harder to juggle some times (and one of my recommendations that I could have gone different directions with).

I think of the 4 precons, it's the most high variance and least consistent. But that is due to the nature of a deck that relies on using the cards of other players. Each game will play differently and you will never know what you will get each game that you sit down with it. If you don't mind a chaotic play style, your playgroup doesn't mind you handling their cards, and you're not concerned about reprint value (this one has the weakest reprint value), then this deck is perfectly fine and fun to play.

I think the prof said it well, out of the box it handles itself quite good at highwr power tables cause you play with the cards of the other players. I bought it, will try it the upcoming days

Probably came across wrong. What I mean is Felix triggering all these other creature twice. As for Access Tunnel, there's still too many creatures I'd rather be able to punch across, and Cazur forces creatures to grow, making the Tunnel unable to target a creature once they grow too big. For one extra mana, I'd rather just have blanket unblockablity for all the creatures.

Yes. But what you can do (and I didn't spell it out), is use the creatures we've been stealing and feed those to the helm rather than our own creatures and just keep chaining through the opponent's cards. The deck could use a sac outlet like Ashnod's Altar to get rid of something and pay toward the next possession.

It's a risk, but it also robs them of access to the cards as well. Think of it like a mill effect, but no chance for them to get the cards out of the grave. Those spells are out of play for them even if they blow up the Class or Tasha, and if we get to use them, all the better.

I've now done 20 of these precon videos in the last year and no one has mentioned stamping. I'll consider it for future editions. Thanks for the recommendation.
