Best pair I’ve ever seen. Precise, clean and their balance and control is perfection. I’ve watched quite a few of these and 👏👏👏👏👏👏. Thank you very much . From Australia 🇦🇺
Finally, the real Grand Pas Classique... Elegance, great technique and "superbe sinchronicity"! They manage the entire performance as a "walk in the park"! Gorgeous...👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Crystal cut! Such beautiful lines, synchronicity, flowing musicality!! Entrancing, mesmerizing! Malakov's first jump had me gasping aloud, & Pali is a graceful, elegant dream.. The footwork.. Wow!! Bravo!!
I have watched this being performed by many couples. However, this pair is the only ones to my knowledge that come down three times in unison after the ballerina balances on point. Sorry if I don't use the correct terms. I don't know ballet. Only love it!🥰
The viewer needs to be able to tell if it’s a mistake or if the choreography changes so that the unison happens every other time….I’ve mainly seen this with French Opera dancers. I do feel it’s I’ll advised, because it looks like a mistake if the dancers aren’t exactly precise, but since it was dancers from the French Opera, I figured they knew what they were doing! And the dancers obviously have the latitude to change the choreography, because I’ve never seen it danced the same way twice. Compared to the male dancers I’ve seen, I thought the choreography here for Malakhov’s solo was uninteresting and simplistic, with a low degree of difficulty.
This is great, Tatiana Pali, as Margarita Kulik were amazingly talented, Strong ballerinas. Pali and her ellegance, style, musicality fast turns, partnered by Makhalov, a Flying machine with remarkable batterie. This is a perfect Pas Classique and a Delight to watch, no need in this variation to put your leg up to your ear in the developpe, most ballerinas do it these days, I prefer this golden age ballerinas any time.
I adore the simplicity and how precise malakhov is............ Amazing lines, light and easy-looking jumps, but at the same time a great pas de deux partner....... how perfect.....
Bravi oltremodo.Bighin Giulio Renzo
Oh my goodness! Goosebumps all over! She's so amazing! That control! It's to die for! She's got the perfect blend of sharp and soft movements. Amazing!
wow! at the beginning I found Paliy a bit cold but oh my! she gets really Great, what a wonderful technique, such a control of every turn, beautiful feet work, nice lines... head a bit stiff imo I like it more harmonic but in essence hands down! And Malakhov double wow! He is a prince!!!
@Bnesque WAS ANSWERING TO AN ITALIAN YTUB ,TOLD THAT SAW MALAKOV IN NERVIBALLETFEST AROUND FIRST 90'S IN NARCISSUS WAS FANTASTIC,AS WE ALREDY TOLD DAYS AGO,
I thought i was back in a ballet from the 1960! The ballet has so progressed, 13 or less year old girls do perfect full straight arabesques she can barely go to 3/4. For comparison, please check on YT probably the best, most elegant, great technically of then only 19 year old Sylvie Guillam, her partner is M.Legris. perfect ballerina with perfect ballerina body, gorgeous arched legs and feet. Enjoy.
I am not usually a fan of Russian ballerina's in this role ( too flowery, for my taste ) I like it cold and stern, and to the point , but she is an exception so far .
Omg Malakhov...So perfect and effortless. I'm not a fan of ballerina tho if to be honest. I know ballet isn't about extension but her arabesques and fouette make me think it is from1971, not 1991. Also in sense of style her solo is too....sassy? for my personal liking ofcourse.
Yes, i agree, especially her arabesques are like from 50 years ago, the fouettes are simple. For comparison, and how ballet has advanced, please check out Sylvie Guillam, at 19!, The partner is M.Legris. she is and has the perfect ballerina body, straight up extensions with super arched legs and feet, great class and elegance. Perfect also for this elegant PDD.
Splendid dancing indeed -- but the conductor and orchestra butcher the music. It takes superlative dancers to maintain musicality with such badly played music. It breaks my heart!
I much prefer the French performance from Sylvie Guillem and LeGris. Far more poetic and technically superior. Some of the basic moves in this piece were left out by this couple
This is gorgeous! But I have to laugh….once again, as I watch this technical delight (not so much for the dancers!), it’s evident that nobody thought about what color the dancers should wear so that they wouldn’t fade into the background! A very simple thing, right? But it’s nearly universal in my experience, especially in old videos which are worn out: if the background is a dark color, the dancers wear black, and if the background is light in color, the dancers wear white, as we see here! They melt into the background, there’s zero definition….can it really have been that difficult to figure out?? Or did the dancers want it that way for some reason?? Anyway, I lightened the screen as much as I could so I could see what was going on-the quality is terrible, which is another universal issue prior to digital-but it tended to wash out even more. Such a disappointment!
