I'm so madly in love with your GTP. You can tell when someone loves there car by how much they take care of there car and you sir clearly love your car.
+Jäger Panzer I definitely love this car with my whole life. It's become my life. After nearly losing my life to my accident in my Black GT that I had and how clean I had that car. I can only explain to you how rare this last remaining White Gold Edition GTP is and what I've done to it and what I've installed to it. It's all custom and one of a kind. I definitely "PAY" to keep this car in the state it's in
I recently sold my 00" GTP Daytona Grand Prix. God i Sure loved that car. Burned the tires no problem. This is without a doubt the cleanest streetable grand prix build to date,
+Benjamin McCrink I sincerely appreciate that man. It's RARE as hell the edition of this car. White Gold Edition GTP. Fully loaded as well. According to GM it's the last known WHITE GOLD edition GTP in existence. I'm ecstatic about that. Wouldn't trade this car for the world especially with all the work I have done to it and the experience I have with these cars/ this platform. I love this car and I've definitely made it the rare car she deserves to be
Your car is beautiful man, been on your channel for awhile now, your videos inspired me to do some modding on my gp as well... to the point I bought a supercharged engine and transmission, so thanks to you and your videos I'll be able to come up with my dream car, just as much as yours
jordan latimer Well glad to hear than man. Follow the passion and good things always come. Just make sure you're always tuning the car to what it needs to be, and follow guides. Otherwise problems always arise. A friend of mine turbo'd his 2000 Daytona. And he's been through 2 built transmissions and 3 motors. So be careful.
Love it! GM should have never discontinued the Pontiac line. I guess in one way it just makes us appreciate the cars that much more. My wife has an '08 G6 GT that I've done some upgrades to. Your GTP would smoke it for sure. These older Pontiacs were fast, and I don't think they got the respect and fanfare that they deserve.
Thats for darn sure. I don't think my GTP would beat any G8 GT. If it were the V6 than sure! But not no 6.0L haha. That's double my displacement size almost. But the worst part is what you said. That they just never got the respect and the fanfare that they truly deserved. And thats so sad because these cars were so ahead of their time and so beautiful. But they got caught in between the big changes of the 2005~2008 era of cars with touch screens and built in navigation, and things like that, where as these cars had amazing technology in them but weren't looked at as that. They were just everyones standard grocery getter. Supercharged or not. And that ran them all into the ground. That's why this car is my everything. My pride and joy. So thank you for leaving this wonderful heartfelt message.
@@VidTubeWatch Thanks a million brother. And actually just reading back your initial comment... I thought at first you said... "my wife owns an 08' "G8 GT" and you would smoke that..." LOL. Completely misread that. That's why I started talking about how I didn't think I'd be able to beat any G8... Lol... But yes... My Grand Prix would definitely walk a GT G6... or any G6 for that matter, unless it had like a turbo or big supercharger on it. But I mean I'm running down Trail Blazer SS's and they're AWD and putting down some bigger numbers. Something I never thought my GTP would be even able to keep up with let alone with car / bus lengths on them!
@@TheGrandPrixGT00 You're welcome. Yes. Your car would walk my wife's G6GT. She wishes she had a G8. We test drove one once. If I ever come across a good, clean, low mile G8...a guy can dream. I did put a cold air intake, single exhaust into the muffler with dual out. It's got a small tune on it as well. I wish Pontiac never gave up the ghost. They sold so many cars over the years. GM messed up when they discontinued the line. It's good to see people like you keeping them alive. I love my wife's car.
this was my first car.. not with the upgrades you have but the same model/year etc, i fucking loved it!, had it for almost 5 years and was stolen from me. never got it back.. but man this brought back some really good memories, thanks for showing the car, looks super clean/slick.
I sincerely appreciate it. A lot of people I think are jealous of my car, and so they say a lot of hurtful bad things to me/ about my car, but I try to ignore them and just keep pushing forward and doing me. Also I've been told that I have a real talent for building these cars and that my taste is really great when it comes to these cars. Everyone really loves BAD for those who aren't the "haters"
Wow, such an impressive build, congratulations. You know it’s a great video when you have 240 likes and 0 dislikes. I’m purchasing a gt coupe this week sometime.
Nice and clean! nothing crazy excessive or flashy I like it alot. I have a white 03 grand prix I'm trying to upgrade, so I'm getting ideas on what all is out there. awesome video!
I have a Pontiac grand prix gtp 99 aswell. Awesome car dude i have some questions bro what kind of exhaust i should get to sound nice. Also Air intake??
Dude i love your car haha soo sick. Any chance we can meet up and you can take a look at my shit. Im all about being cool working on my car making friends. I stay In Cali Bay area.
Hey, man absolutely beautiful car, super clean. Who makes those head lights? And where did you get them? I have an 01 Gp and wanting to put ones like that on it, but can't find the ones you have, that aren't Amber on the side and the halos are super bright.
really love this man, looks amazing don't think I've seen a better looking gtp, those lights man they look great I wish you knew the name of them or something
Hey man sick GTP! I have one myself that's bone stock, How much HP did you get out of just putting new belts on the SC? I was thinkling that's gonna be my first upgrade as i hear they are pretty cheap
A little late here but im gonna continue with this guy's question. i have a stock 2002 gtp with 116k miles on it, what are some things i'd need to do if i wanted to put a smaller pulley on it. 3.4 seems pretty common but im not looking for any large upgrades.
Well let's put it this way... Traction control prevents your tires from slipping... And that's very hard on your transmission and other mechanical components. So we/ or I have it permanently turned off so that every time I jump in the car it's just up and ready for me to go so I don't have to press it off every single time I turn on the key to the car. This way it allows for the best mechanical functionality of my car; and peak performance... So I can get the full amount of power/ torque from my car
I just got a gtp (got rid of my gt seemed like the easy way to do things) and I was wondering do you know anyone selling that sd front air dam or a forum you would recommend looking for one on? also what kind of taillights are those are they just custom or?
The front Air dam is actually no longer availible to buy. They actually JUST quit making them, so now, you'd either have to find one used which is going to be nearly impossible or hope you get lucky and they remake them!
TheGrandPrixGT00 I thought they just quit making them that really sucks there's really no other options out there that look good what about your taillights?
Thanks man. Believe it or not, it was JUST wrecked a month ago. So unfortunately I'm going to have to have the whole rear end re-done. But the car will be back, and at peak potential soon hopefully. By the end of the yr is the goals. And I'll have a shaved trunk lid now, and new spoiler, Decklid, tail lights, new tint... it's going to look terrific. As far as my headlights go, these are the CCFL projector headlights. With all custom lighting
Looks fantastic, one of the best around. Just finished my gtp gen V swap. She only has 64k on her and I bought it for 4k surprisingly. In due time mine will look great. What tail lights and head lights are you running? I love the way they look. Thanks again for the upload!
Still my favorite gtp, How is your visibility at night with those lights? I always think my visibility is fine until I drive someone else's car and realize mine is terrible.
Hunter Hilt I love my visibility. I have 0 issue seeing out of them. I wish they had a little more output, but I mean they do the job just fine with my fogs, and my leds and my ccfls
I found them on Ebay. But unfortunately they no longer sell these exact one's. But you could always get some that are a darker color & than just tint them as I did. 🙂 Hope that helps answer your question!
No far from stock. I have custom made Headers; and than full 3" exhaust. 3" downpipe to a High flow Resonator, and than straight back the rest of the way with SLP tips on the end to finish it off.
+Preston Odegard I actually have friends in high places and when a Limited Edition made it's way to the junk yard, he found 3 of them and I got to choose from the 3 of them and yeah haha
Your GTP is amazing man! I love what you've done to it. I have a 98 GT with the same color but mine looks like the first form a pokemon compared to your final form haha. But if you don't mind me asking where do you get your parts? And do you know if it's possible to upgrade my GT to a GTP?
chunkynumnums It is definitely 100% possible to upgrade a GT to a GTP but it's a ton of work, and tuning can be a big issue but actually a stock GTP vs a "top swapped" GT to GTP has more power; because GT's have a higher compression rate. So a GT to a GTP can make more power than a real GTP. For minor power. But it's definitely got a tad bit more power. As far as where I get my parts; but most of my parts I've custom made or had custom made and than I install them. I don't get anything from generic places or anything like that.
chunkynumnums I can tell you this though. I don't know how many miles your GT has, or what you paid for it, but I would suggest this to you. Don't do the work and buying the parts for a top swap to your GT. Literally sell the GT, or better yet, keep it as a Daily Driver, and than take a loan out for a GTP and just do that. Because you're going to be spending so much more on doing the work, finding the parts, and making it run better. It'll never run perfect either like a GTP. If I could give you the biggest suggestion, I'd sell the GT and just buy a GTP. Cause it's not worth the money to top swap. Unless you can find a nice used GTP motor, and just swap that in with the PCM from the GTP, that'd work too but you more than likely don't have leather, where GTP's do. And you probably don't have the HUD (heads up display); or the BOSE sound system, or the dual climate control, and you won't have the right DCIM, where it shows your "Boost gauge"
Hey thanks for responding so quickly! Yeah my GT has about 175,000 miles on it. It's still going and I've replaced a few parts including the radiator and rebuilt the transmission. I've probably spent more on it than what I bought at which I believe was $2,700. But I love my car and I've always been curious about adding on and improving it. And I see you've spent a lot of time/money/energy on your GTP, so I take your word seriously when you say that I should just get a GTP. Or at least the engine and PCM. My GT has leather, dual climate control, HUD but definitely no DCIM where it says boost gauge lol. Maybe when this one gives out I'll invest in a GTP. But thanks for the tips man! I appreciate it a lot!
chunkynumnums Yeah absolutely, no problem. I am always happy to answer questions like this. I just know so many people who want to be supercharged when there are stock supercharged cars of the one's they own out there already and I know what's all involved in making it supercharged and all the difficulties that come with it. And I just shake my head because it's like yeah, you love your GP that you currently own, but the mileage and the amount you're going to spend to actually make it a GTP. Oh my lord. Lol. I have a close friend who has a "SE" and he took all the moldings, bumpers, seats out, dash out, and engine out, and instead of just buying a GT or a GTP, he did all that, and on top of that he bought a "GT" motor; just the 3.8L; instead of just buying a supercharged motor lol. And than went out and bought all these parts to make it a GTP. And he still hasn't done it, and it's been 3 years now. I just told him he's being a bit ridiculous and he needs to wise up and just sell everything, and get a GTP. Lol. But again you're entitled to do whatever you want. Coming from the fact that I had a GT and now own a GTP. I would never look back on how much I had into my GT and how clean it was and how low miles it was but the fact that the amount of money and time and work I'd have had to put into that car. I could have bought 3 GTP's lol. So I'm so happy I got my white one and just said forget the whole supercharging and top swapping lol
Kyle Gierman This car is not going to be for sale. I keep it and it's my show car. I could never part with it. I'd never get out of it what I've dedicated into it and it's perfectly built and has 0 issues. So I'd never part with a perfect car
+Kyle Gierman I'd never part with this car, it's far too clean, and it's the rarest of this platform besides like an official pace car. It's the last known white gold edition.
TheGrandPrixGT00 what mods did you do to the transmission because I have a bonneville ssei and the transmission is finicky and I ordered a trans pan from zap and I have a transgo shift kit ready to be installed but the fluid thins out or gets dirty a lot so I'm wondering what can I do and if you can guide me in the right direction
