Man, these motors were used in RWD configuration in our late 80's - mid 90's Commodores (in the late 90's Holden completely redesigned the motor- they are known as Ecotec motors and had the optional M122 blower)... Even in N/A trim these things went really well in a RWD 4 door car. They love limiter smashing and blowing off tyres on the weekends with the boys...
Maxmaj1q - WOW! Love the engineering you put into this 3800. I bought my '03 3800 L36 Impala new back then and never did any work on it, although being born in '55 I was working on cars when I was 10 yrs old through the glory era of the muscle cars. I'm a disabled vet and have been through 17 surgeries, it wasn't until 2013 that I could get back under the hood on my L36 that had
I also lost the plastic valve covers, got me a set of Aluminum covers from junkyard 97 Camro F body, they looked like hell but I polished to mirror finish, same mirror finish I put on the L26 UIM, so for all you out there with the leaking oil plastic valve covers this is a simple swap and direct fit.
Hello love your work been out the game for a minute slow coming back in don't care what now one say keep up the good work 👍👍my have questions later lol
You said it all in one word...... Dedicated. Great work brother and love your videos. It has helped me gain knowledge that I needed in the past with my 1998 Daytona GTP. My son is 5 yrs old and we got the car when he was 3 and he inspired me to turn it into a Hot Wheels. Great stuff and ignore the haters. thank you.
Lots of respect I'm putting together a l67 build for a Fiero want to make the bottom end bullet prof and the valve train I do appreciate the pasion and forget the haters they will always be out there
was thinking of using h-beam rods I found on intense I understand u can use pm rods but never been fond of those but want to stud everything and balance shafts eliminate and of course balance but curious about what harmonic and flywheel to use
thats 1 nice 3800,im an Aussie & ive got a s/c 3.8lt l67 vx commodore RWD with an engine that runs north- south! u would hav some fun with this thing, so much potensial. just thought id share!
been watching you since the beginning. I've had my 2000 gtp daytona for 7 years and even though I have a now sti can't part with my first love the 3800. I plan on putting some money into its revival next year
Hey, I own a 2007 Chevy Impala 3500. And this is the Grand Prix. I didn't know that you can do this type of thing to that vehicle the way you did it and I'm very much interested in that type of work. I've heard of it on the SS. And of course the V8s
Maxmaj1q I haven't seen that much extensive work on these 3.8s with a supercharger. Very impressive brotha.. been watching your videos for quite sometime now. Did you have the 4T65e rebuilt or did you swap to a 5 speed?
Wow that's kind of sad that people get pissed just because someone decides to do a car a certain way! I just now found you and this thing is wicked as f***!!! You ain't got to ask nobody's permission to do what you need to do for you! Again such a badass ride! I love my 3800 too!!! This is a work of art!!! Thanks for sharing!
how much you spend all together on the set up with all the moods you got ton of moods I picked up 99 gtp last month I want 400 horse power on the motor is that possible to do without nitrous
Dude that's sick! I moved from my GTP to a Mustang GT and I'm missing that boost! Post some driving footage! Keep on keeping on because I love seeing what you do!
sweet 3800. shouldn't have sold my grand prix gt. but I'm buying a gtp tomorrow!. already getting ready to throw in some mods. what does yours run on the strip?
hey guys i down in bama here and i have a 2001 pontiac grand prix gt with everything built on it but it being top swapped and some of your badass bully flow heads (soon to come!) but heres my question my cars fuel trims are all outta whack and is running pig rich what would cause it to do that? any help would be appreciated guys!
This is my first time looking at you, let all those negative haters go the way they're headin; straight to extinction. They're nothing but zero's to a man with the power of his own mind.
i may be wrong but you might as well swap out those stock looking coils and get a nice set of msd ones. oh,and of course they are red so they'll match everything. anyway nice ride.had a 03 gtp miss it.wifey totaled it.
Nice setup bud in Australia that supercharged engine is in a rwd Holden (Pontiac) there a good motor did u get after market heads or. Look up Holden vx supercharged burnouts that motor loves limiter
Hey Chris, do you plan on going to the 3800 meet every year? I need to go if you are. also is there any chance you give us some more info about running e85. like do you have to change the fuel lines so they don't rust? is there any other problems? it would be great if you could do some how-to videos on modifying the 3800. Thanks again Chris. keep up the good work. and keep the info coming.
Hey guys, I bought a very nice '04 PG GT for $700, str8ht body. New Calipers, breaks, Cool Oaks, air filter, oil everything...new water pump..all the basics. I want to change the exhausts (dual of course) I'm looking at 3. #1, Works Stinger Fatback, #2, Magnaflow IRS Fatback and 3, ZZP 3" Fatback Downpipe. Which sound rich. deep and bad to fuckn bone?
t king in austrailia we have these engines in Holden Commodores, I have seen up to 600whp with a whipple supercharger and forged internals, you can get an intercooler for the m90 and around 450whp is common, l67 is also great for turbos
t king I'd say not really needed till bout the 350whp mark but it will definitely help with knock resistance and longevity of the engine I'd probably port the m90 first, a lot of the trouble is just managing the heat from the charger,
t king ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FsApwg7dScM.html This is probably the fastest supercharged l67 commodore I have seen, lots of dollars on this but,
715101 i need to get alittle more educated about these engines. My goal is to achieve somewhere around 700whp out of this motor. Only for the naysayers!!
keep doin it, Chris! whats the future plans with this? plan to get it dynoed? that would be very cool to see what you can end up with using your parts and methods. also have you thought of swapping this engine in something else like a fiero?
@Maxmaj1q Excellent Work! 🗣 Where do you reside? I have a 97' Riviera Supercharged w/ a 3800 SERIES II I'm in the process of modding it but I gotta take my time with it, your video definitely gives me inspiration & insight salute to you!
