Watching this every time brings me back to my childhood memories which I missed so much. I still remember the names of most of the streets including the ones in Downtown Grand Rapids. Grand Rapids, Michigan is also where I was born and raised from my Ugandan Parents from East Africa. Good thing I saw the Spectrum Children's Hospital (was named Butterworth Children's) where me and my Brother was born. Truly, I wish to visit Grand Rapids again or move there and live there for the rest of my life. They say it ranks number 2 in most affordable cities in the U.S.

In building the ''S'' curve highway one of the 17 foot augers was broken at the shaft and a special welding team from Chicago was hired to re weld the shaft back together... The wife and I actually was told this by a worker on the ''S'' curve project... He had come into the restaurant on Burton Street and told us that... it was my wife why worked there and i was helping her wash the morning dishes before I had to go to work myself... True story... history of the ''S'' curve.

Nice video! I've been interested in drone operating and I'm curious, how long did it take to get the permits for all of this from the city? It would be so cool to see more footage during other times of the year! Grand Rapids is beautiful in summer time.

It's illegal to fly over GR. It is illegal to fly where this was filmed. Over cars and near the helipads of the hotels and hospitals.

Cshnazy 720 yeah weather could be better but that was in a middle of winter time... I didn’t made a special trip there to take these shots so it is what it is... I could lift that images up with the color grading but didn’t knew how to do it at that time... Check out my newest videos... Much better than this;)

why don't you say than "bad people must to go to jail instead of immigrants has to go back". We're all immigrants in here... 1st, 2nd or 5th generation but still immigrants... Only place where I've seen real Americans was in Arizona in a middle of desert living in mobile homes...
