@@polygoncoco There are microbrands selling their watches for under 1k that have them. Certainly when a watch company is selling a watch for over 5k, they can add that feature.

@@polygoncoco agree--Glashutte Original also has an extension button hidden within a thin clasp in its SeaQ divers bracelets. it has a slightly higher price point, but with GS's higher production volumes they really should be able to do this.

Unpopular Opinion here: I think Grand Seiko bracelets are actually underrated, and might I say, fantastic. Some have a slight taper, they're finished very well (beveled edges, multi component links with different finishes) and a milled clasp with a safe trigger assembly. There needs to be a correction in the narrative. Many Grand Seiko SPORTS watches (SBGE255 and 275 for example) DO have quick adjustments in the clasp. A lot of the popular models discussed on social media (SBGA413, 415, 211 for example) are out of Grand Seiko's DRESS watch catalog. Remember that Grand Seiko is a purity driven brand. They wont put display case backs on their sports watches because, well, it wouldn't be a pure sports watch. They don't put quick adjust clasps on their dress watches because, well... you get the point.

It's a try before you buy! The GS mechanicals on crocs just felt too clumsy or chunky on me. I found the strap bulky as well . However I bought the GS XBG261G black dial Quartz. I absolutely love it . It's refined and effortless watch. The bracelet is perfect for me and the slightly thinner case works on my wrist. I do have mechanical movements for the higher end social occasions but the GS has become my go to and out the front door watch.

I don’t think it’s worth twice the price either even though I own a W277. It’s LE of 140 pcs and it’s definitely worth more than the more common but equally beautiful W231 how much more well that depends on the buyer

While I agree with you on the business side, it's hard to argue with the finishing on GS, it's much more than a more expensive Seiko even you get Close 😊
