Liberty City Stories references Advance. In Advance there are military vehicles Fort Staunton. This implies events happened in LCS where Toni destroys the area is still relevant and the military is still surveying the area in case of terrorist activities. Also Mike and Vinnie worked for Leone Family due to them getting jobs from Mamma's Family Restaurant(run by Toni Cipriani's mother).

If you are talking about the restaurant than that was always part of GTA since GTA III and if you are talking about him blowing up the area that is an explanation why the military vehicles are in the area in LCS.
this game is actually canon to GTA 3 and LCS because there's a foreshadowing in GTA 3 and a reference in LCS go and check on Toni's first apartment in all 3 three of these games also, they are referring to the Leones since the other family are done for (the forelies became too weak to be even called a mafia at this point so they began working for Salvatore)
Yup. The smoking ban in bars also seems to be in effect in gta 4 based on dialog in one of the Vlad missions. I say it's 1000 percent canon in 3d and HD universe
Advance isn't canon because in Gta 3 It's stated that 8 Ball was arrested in his home at Portland(not in a restaurant in Shoreside Vale), in 2001(Advance takes place in 2000) and burned his hands when cops poured hot fat in his hands(not in a explosion),and Joey Leone gets sent as a slave to Asia in Asuka's mission

Rockstar did try to make 3d gta in gba but it get scrap so they make this game and it's failure after this they approach to other company to make max payne in gba and it's quite impressive so rockstar buy that company to make the next gta portable in the newer handheld is call the psp and that's why we get liberty stories,vice city stories and chinatown wars
Props to you for completing this game it was the first gta game I ever played my brother emulated it on John GBA for me when I was 9 and I got pretty far but I just couldn't finish it so I was glad to see this video to bring back memories and show me the ending to my first gta game

Of all the games that came out after GTA 2 this is the one I've played the least probably. I had a Nintendo DS so I could play this and Chinatown and I beat Chinatown but the cheat codes wouldn't work on this game at all on the Nintendo so the difficulty of trying to hit targets and constantly running out of ammo because it takes a whole clip to kill someone got old fast.
I think it is unfair to say this game is better left forgotten as during its time, having it on the GBA was pretty impressive. The history of this game was also pretty interesting. It was supposed to be a port of GTA 3 by Crawfish Interactive, but the company shut down and Digital Eclipse took over the development instead. This game was the spark of something really great and that was Brian Provinciano, who used to work on the cancelled port to create Retro City Rampage several years later. To me, this game was a step up from GTA and GTA 2 and actually felt like I was playing a new take on GTA 3 as the map design and islands were so lively and huge. I really gotta give credit to both Crawfish and Digital Eclipse for creating something that seems impossible to do, even though the GBC ports of GTA 1 and 2 were already impressive enough, Advance was a huge step forward along with Chinatown Wars being another huge step forward. LCS and VCS are awesome, but I never thought the PSP couldn't handle a 3D GTA game, so the 2D ports and Chinatown Wars on DS impressed me the most.
This was my very first GTA lol. As a 10 year old I only had a GBA. I got it on vacation in eastern europe on one of these giant flea markets, one of the sellers there sold a bunch of obviously pirated aftermarket copies. So the fact that my first GTA game was an actual bootleg is amazing and hilarious to me. It just gives GTA Advance just a little more of that GTA feel in my memories of this game.

I dont care about what other people say about GTA Advance, I really liked it a lot. It was the first GTA I completed, and the one who motivated me to play and complete the rest of the 3D Universe, following up with GTA III, then GTA San Andreas, GTA Vice City, GTA Liberty City Stories and finally GTA Vice City Stories.

This game is definitely the worst GTA ever since it went 3D, but after a recent run for retroachievements, I appreciate a few things it has, like it tying into GTA 3, and having missions with choices.
