This was the first real GTA trailer I saw back in 2007 when I was a kid. I remember I have downloaded it and I rewatched it like 20 times. Thank You Rockstar Games and the dear people who ever worked or working there.
Time flies by so fast...this trailer reminds me of the old times. I remember watching it many years ago and really looking forward to play GTA IV. Even though the game had some minor flaws, like Niko's Serbian accent, i think that didn't affect the experience that much and i still find it amazing in many aspects such as the story, the characters, the details and the immersive gameplay. I am a big fan of the GTA series but GTA IV will always have a special place in my heart. The theme is a lot different than the other GTA games - it's rougher, darker and overall more serious. I was very young when i first played it so i couldn't really understand the depth and the darkness of the story, but when i understood it later on, i realized how well-written, relatable and meaningful it is and it really impacted me. It taught me many valuable lessons about the world we live in and it also changed my perspective on video games. Rockstar, thank you for this masterpiece.
@@Tahir-wz9rb It's just not good...i am from Serbia so i can clearly tell. They hired an American voice actor and he couldn't really do the accent well...
Same here man. Made me think back to when i was little boy siting in my living room wearing nothing but boxers playing this on our big box Televison.... would tweak on it day and night! lol, oh the happy days....Time indeed does fly.
@@ikaikaxkeahi Yeah, those were some good times. I still like to play it today and i get the same goosebumps. I then feel like time has stopped, atleast for a while. :)
These trailers are so legendary. The hype was palpable back in 2007. I remember it like it was yesterday, and after all this time we’re on the verge of another GTA game and that feeling is coming back. It’s gonna be worth the wait boiz.
the nostalgia man....almost makes me shed a tear lmfao the world was so different and beautiful back then...the console wars were at its peak, no lootboxes or pay2win yet, the original MW2 came out, Kanye West dropped 808s and Heartbreaks and wasnt married to Kim yet, Kobe Bryant was still alive and was playing in the NBA Finals, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Triple H, and John Cena were in the WWE, Television had PRIMETIME shows and people actually watched TV, and i was just a kid in elementary school experiencing this beautiful game and the world for the first time.....we took the 2000s for granted man cant believe its almost 2 decades ago this game came out we truly had the greatest childhood
I love how casually this trailer showed you the final confrontation between Niko and the man he'd been spending the entire game searching for. Of course, back then we didn't know who he was talking to, but looking back that was a pretty crucial moment in the game's story, and I'm surprised it's featured in one of the first trailers for the game.
I have literally spent 1000+ hours of my childhood playing this game with no internet back in the day some of my favorite moments are from this game definitely will still be better when GTA VI comes out 10/10 for this absolute classic ❤
These graphics for a GTA game were revolutionary when this trailer came out. The amount of detail Rockstar put into this game is phenomenal even in today’s standards.
@@josh18230 imo gta sa is still the most fun gta, with 5 being second. 4 was realistic and gritty, but still a damn great game. It's amazing how all 3 of these had better ai than than cyberbug 2077 released 16,12 and 7 years after these games respectively.
For me, GTA IV is one of the greatest games ever made! No other GTA (or "GTA clone" for that matter) is such a joy to play in freeroam: the weight of the cars, the realistic physics, and the Euphoria ragdoll engine elevate GTA IV above all others. It really spoiled me back when I first played it, and no other open world game since has come close. They all feel "flat," with cars feeling like Hot Wheels due to their stiff suspension and lack of a proper deformation damage model. The canned death animations or toy ragdoll physics also feel cheap and unimpressive compared to GTA IV. Furthermore, Niko is my favorite GTA protagonist. He may seem rough at first, but he has a very interesting personality and often shows that he cares deeply for others (for example, the way he talks to Marnie Allen and gives her advice). Niko is one of the most refined and organic characters in the franchise. The love and dedication that Rockstar had put into GTA IV in 2008 really shows, and the atmosphere of Liberty City still holds up today. I am also just a huge fan of the 2000s New York/New Jersey mob atmosphere - playing GTA IV gives me a similar feeling to watching The Sopranos - I just love it!
Looking back at it looks like a very impressive tech demo. Lots of new systems cobbled together with a decent story and satisfying gameplay. gta v and rdr2 polished those to perfection.
@@AndytlpDecent story? Gta4 had the best story of all the Gta I have ever played and being a game from 2008, the graphics for this game was top notch
2009: "GTA IV Sucks, it has nothing to do, San Andreas was way better" 2014: "GTA V sucks, games aren't about what you can do in them, GTA IV was way better" How long will this pattern continue?
until they start sucking dick, I played San Andreas and I'll admit it was a very impressive game for it's time with a shit ton of stuff in it but I would rather play IV & V over it any day because they just play better, aren't as tedious, and they don't have that god awful mission were you pilot that remote control model airplane to kill some fuckers
@@BeggarSoldier not only that they never bother to add gta 4 to the ps4 and probably won’t add it to the Ps5 that how much they don’t want to acknowledge the best gta game Bc all they care is about money
I remember there was a glitch with the Perennial in GTA IV where if you color it too much, it will stay green until you get another Perennial, I know that struggle lol
@@jonofitz11 the only person that enjoyed this was the developers lying to their fans and making a bank for pretty much 2 months of gaming development in a 7 year production period
cant believe i was graduating highschool when this came out and here I am all these years later excited for another GTA. I hardly play video games anymore but GTA always gets me behind a controller
“I’m the one, who survived..” Man, I was a sophomore in high school when this masterpiece came out. All my friends were either playing this or Cod 4 back in 2008. What a great year for gaming.
That was the same scenario for me with Gta V. I was a freshman in high school in the 2013-2014 school year. The timing couldn't have been any better. I made so many friends that were in my grade, sophomore, juniors, and even seniors through Gta V. Literally we would make an Xbox Live party chat, and all of us would have a good time playing Online. Gta V/Gta Online was my gateway in becoming involved in so many friend groups back in high school. Those friend groups lead to parties and popularity. I'm in my third year of college now, and all I got to say is, those were some really good times, and I'll definitely cherish them forever.
As a man in his 20’s.. in 2007 my dad was super excited for this to come out, I played three but. There were more important games to me at the time, this however soon became my favourite gta to this day. In 2012 I was over the moon for the gta 5 era. An era of gta that I was ready to sink my teeth into, the memories I’ve had with friends in that game will be there forever. It’s now 2023 and we’re now moving into the next era of gta… finally. So with all that… YELLOWWWW CAAARRRRRR!!!!
Fuck, still coming back to this trailer. This has to be the most well edited and produced trailer of any video to date in my opinion. Really captures the true essence of GTA 4.

wait so you have been watching gta on youtube since 2007? damn. i mean, if you haven't done that, there is no chance that you would know that it was no recommendations.
People who say gta 4 sucked have no idea. This game was revolutionary in 2008. The physics engine was amazing, not even saints row 2 had so realistic and smooth physic effects like in gta 4. GTA 4 was the best game in 2008, even if it hadn't so much stuff like in GTA SanAndreas, the graphics and details were so amazing. btw i watched this trailer in 2007, good old times
This game is a true masterpiece even all these years later. The little details in this game just goes to show how much effort the devs put into it. A massive upgrade from the mechanics in GTA SA
True.. I am playing it for the first time on my laptop now and man i am blown away by the attention to details, physics and everything.. It's a massive jump from SA to this
