dude this is a time capsule! The voices are pretty accurate, it's clear it was done by people locally. Every character, clearly comes from a different part of london. I can pinpoint each one. But even better, a time capsule of UK English at the time of Dev. I got my degree in lingustics so this is super friggin cool to me. IDK much about anything of this game.
Yes the actor for those twins, (well only 1 of them talks) which is albert crisp. his voice actor is john berger, an actual british man, rip john berger.
@@greysnake2903 The first 3 GTA games were pretty meh in terms of writing, especially since subsequent games have much better writing and better stories. But I won't lie the NPC dialogue of GTA 3 has a aged well and still puts a smile on my face
Man there is a fanmade gta game called Duke Theft Auto, its like 3D GTA 1, and there is a mod for GTA III where you can turn it to GTA 2 but 3D and another GTA III mod where you can put the map of london '69 and '61 in GTA III and turn it into GTA London 3D, (i think there is a character included in the mod for london) Also you can get the Claude Speed from GTA 2 skin in GTA 3.
i played the game for the first time yesterday and the cutscene actually scared me. Its super creepy but so cheesy cos its just some teenager from like canada saying "IM THE MONKEY AND YOURE THE CHEESE GRATER". super funny
You’ve now put a thought into my head about this. The thing is, I’m all for simplicity, and even a little clunkyness, but this here is objectively poor.
"Truth is ever to be found in simplicity, and not in the multiplicity and confusion of things." - Issac Newton So go ahead and pay $700 in micro- transactions like a fool, I'll just sit here playing this old ass game $700 dollars richer and ten times happier than you.
It’s fucking crazy that the writer John Berger, one of the 20th centuries greatest art critics/humanitarians/poets, voices the twin in this. I’ve never found a good explanation as to why he does.
I think the reason why is because someone else made an edit that superimposes the GTA London 1969 theme over HD footage of London from that time period. It sent viral and now everyone who watched it are getting GTA London videos recommended. Enjoy the wave of views.
If you just added a looping background animation and a few occasional body movements to the characters this would be alright. Oh, and fire the voice actors. None of them fit the characters, except those two blonde guys at the end. They can stay.
They are too old and primitive for remasters, they need full remakes, but rockstar is busy with GTA 6/Online and the 2D era games are forgotten(the last references to them in the franchise were the GTA 1 logo font in a grafitti and the Zaibatsu car in 5/online
