I've been around in gaming to see other big studios take the pi$$ out of their consumers, never did I think Rockstar would join the likes of the rest.

Not sure if I like the draw distance, being able to see one city from another breaks immersion and the illusion of size.

It’s absolutely criminal that R* had a chance to really do something special with such an iconic set of games but instead these greedy pricks saw it as a cash grab. How you let a team who messed up a damn mobile port of this handle the console & PC versions is beyond a joke.

The whole definitive edition has NO TAIL LIGHTS on cars! A feature that was included 20 years ago is missing. I wish I could get a refund on PSN I am so angry!!!!

I am actually disappointed with these remasters and more importantly with the removal of the original versions of these titles on online platforms. Every GTA title has its own feel, theme, and soul. There is a unique feel and atmosphere about each of the GTA cities. But with these remasters those nuances are missing. I grew up playing rockstar's games and I love them for what they do. I hope that they live up to it for their next-gen releases

Definitely need to add more artificial fogging and heatwave effects, other than that I think SA is the best looking of the three. Still doesn't justify having taken the originals off stores though.

Totally unnecessary. The original still looks great because of its strong and coherent art style, just like most Rockstar games do. The "definitive edition" looks like a cheap mobile game. Underneath those shiny reflections lies a 17 year old game, it will never ever look modern or even close to it, so please just embrace that fact. This is like George Lucas meddling with the original trilogy, no matter how much dressing you add it'll never look better than the original. Dan Houser would not approve, and it's not hard to see why he left. Y'all are pissing away your own legacy

The improvement in lighting and gunfire effects is impressive. It's funny that they kept the bizarrely wimpy gun shooting sounds, but I suppose they deemed them essential to retaining feel of the original game. Perhaps. I think the shadows would look more realistic if their edges weren't so blurred.

It's literally just the same with a new coat of paint slapped on. These games are classics . When they remastered Crash, and other games like Spyro, they tore down those game bit by bit and remastered it from the ground up. They were not selling it for 60 dollars also.

You have a chance to listen to the community just like 343 studios did. This doesn’t feel like a finished product and you know it doesn’t.

When you think of Rockstar Games, you think of quality content. When you think of GTA, you think of the best game ever made. It's a best-selling game that broke a lot of records and R* deserved it.... But that was almost 10 years ago. The mindset has changed a lot and the result can be seen today in GTA: The Trilogy: Definitive Edition. The goal of this remaster was to bring the classic titles to modern consoles and allow new players to enjoy the game as we did 20 years ago. But only in theory. What you get is actually not what you would expect from a GTA game, but the complete opposite. The graphics of the game seem new and beautiful for the first few minutes, but then you realize that the game hasn't been maintained at all. It's like "let's use Unreal because it has nice graphics, and just slap it on GTA III/VC/San Andreas" that's it. Sure, you can't just use a completely different engine, that requires some work.. Right? No, that's excatly how it looks like. All 3 games have the same bugs that you'd find in the original version of GTA. The remaster also introduced a lot of new bugs that just ruin the gameplay. The controls are really weird (especially in VC where it feels like you're playing the game on Stadia, Nvidia NOW, etc, but with a really bad internet connection). Some of the new textures are simply taken from GTA V, you can now see billboards with GTA: Online characters on them. A widescreen TV from the mid-2000s can now be found in GTA VC in Diaz mansion (the game is set in 1986). And much more. That's just the tip of the iceberg, there's a lot more to tell, but I think most of it can easily be found on social media. Would I recommend anyone to buy this game? No! If you really want to enjoy classic GTAs: find a PS2 and a copy of GTA Trilogy and enjoy the real masterpiece that R* created back in the good old days.

You really need to add an option to turn on the fog, seeing LV and SF from LS breaks the immersion and makes the map feel really small.

Atleast give us the option to put the fog back, without it plus the high render distance, it shows how small the map is really especially when flying.

Removing the clouds and fog really ruined this game, it looks so stupid seeing across the whole map from city to city. The removal really makes the game not look big like it use to look on the original release in 2004, which they removed from being able purchase for some reason

I’m gonna be honest, I never really was into GTA. In fact, I started playing through San Andreas only a few months ago because I was bored and knew people liked the game. Lo and behold, I have a lot of fun playing the game. So seeing how the “definitive” trilogy end up being bad was kinda sad because I am planning to play through the rest after I’m done with SA. I can only imagine the disappointment to the og fans.

I'm 50% sad and 50% happy. They fixed many things, but the character animations, car sounds, weapons. Anyway everything the same, I hope that if it is possible to fix this. :)

PS2 still the way to go, played it again a couple years back, never disappoints.

Lo juge, No hay nubes, no hay nieblas, son simplemente png o una imagen en movimiento, las lluvia te obstruye toda la pantalla y los personajes son los padres y madre de sim o de disney, hay muchos errores en el juego y los personajes son horribles casi no abren los ojos, cj parece gato con esos ojos, porque rockstar no se dedica resmaterizar sus propios juegos bien como los viejos tiempos cuando salio por primera vez. contratan a otros para REMASTERIZAR SUS JUEGOS ensuciando las 3 joyas de la trylogia para que fallen o empeoren los detalles mas comunes en sus juegos ROCKSTAR que ustedes mismo HICIERON "los gráficos no lo hace un juego mejor, son los detalles del juego que lo hace mejor" creo que si yo estuviera en su compañía haría mejores trabajos que su equipo o trabajadores mejores detalles, no pienso comprarlo, solo pienso pienso en descargarlo por internet. E visto mejores remaster que este no solo en los grafico en los detalles

expecting a fix patch for all models and sounds. smoother animations would be nice too

-Remove SanAndreas Menu Sounds and radar icons from 3/VC and add ones from their respective titles -Add Red lights to cars -Fix VC Car Height -Fix Map Collision bugs -Remove Rain in Sunny clear sky day -SYNC Weather to Respective missions so no random weathers occur after cutscenes - Add fog option for GTASan Andreas so map would not look small -Fix Rain droplets they look big and patterned -Fix Some Weird looking Ped models -Fix Typos on Billboards and Some out of place Textures

Apparently the new update (patch) came out, it changes absolutely nothing, especially for San Andreas, what the hell are you trying to pull Rockstar!

I am so glad that I grew up and still have the steam version and that I downgraded to the previous version and have them saved on discs and usbs just in case
