Been to that port many times myself now I stay on the ship and go to the casino instead. There is not much to do or see at this port anyway, the Margaritaville has gone down big time. Food and drinks are very expensive and they tag on 22% gratuity automatically to your bill. One time I was there when a kid had a bathroom accident in the big and everyone had to stay off the pool. Rented a golf cart to explore the island and it was not fun. The island is so desolated with nothing to do, cant even fly my drone due to the proximity of the airport which I never saw a plane taking off or landing before.
It sounds like you had a bad experince with the many things you did. I have to agree with you on most of it however, we do like grabing a taxi $5 heading to there downtown area and walking the island and hitting the secluded beaches. Thank you for the good comments and coming on our journey. Happy cruising.@@hochutiem2678
Hi Marcie, it's a little walk along the beach. If you want to go into the water it's worth the walk. Most if not all the beaches near the ship are very rocky and difficult to walk into. Jack's Shack beach is nice and has very little stones and rocks. Thank you for your comments and coming along on our journey around the world.
