We're thankful to have the opportunity to share with others our day visit to Grandfather Mountain NC. The work that's been put into making this beautiful mountain a great place to visit is very impressive for anyone looking to visit the NC mountains. There's a ton of great information for anyone wanting to learn about the mountain, a mile high swinging bridge, the Wilson Center for Nature Discovery, great hiking trails to enjoy nature and some of the most beautiful views in NC. In this video we'll share with you our day visit to Grandfather Mountain. #vacation #grandfathermountain #ncmountains

Again thank you for taking us on a tour of Grandfather Mountain. I know myself I wouldn’t get to see so much beauty of North Carolina. This is really informative as well as natural beauty.

Thanks again for the walk today. I 'have not been there since 1990. Mildred the bear was the main attraction then. I never did go across the bridge, too terrified of heights. I still have the handmade ceramic dogwood blossom earrings I bought in the gift shop though!! LOL, important things in life. Somewhere in that area I did my one and only backpack overnight walk. Stunning to watch the sun set and sun rise, listening to the birds, warming by the campfire. Pure peace. Thank you for making my heart happy. And have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

That is a golf course down there and the circle y'all saw was the green. They put something over it to protect it over the winter. Fun to watch .

Wow. There is no way I could make that hike. Far too treacherous. So thanks.

I first visited Grand Father mountain in the summer of 1964. My next and last visit was in June 1997. The swinging bridge on the first visit was a real swinging bridge. They had replaced it to what they had in 1997 and I expect it's the same one now. I don't do heights so I never went, and never will go, across that bridge! 😂

This was our first-time visiting Grandfather Mountain. We enjoyed our visit and learned a lot. The video we watched in the theater was very informative. The swinging bridge seemed very secure, but I don't think that will change your mind if you're afraid of heights. Walking the peaks on the other side of the bridge was the highlight of the visit.

I haven't been to those places since I was a kid, it's a shame because I just live in East TN.
