Salty couple from South Carolina sharing our coastal adventures! We love hanging out with our family and friends! We also love boating, fishing, crabbing, shrimping, beachcombing, shelling, searching for beach treasures, shrimp trawling, kayaking, sailing, exploring and everything about being on or around the water! We are a salty couple for sure! We enjoy sharing these moments through our videos with whomever may find it interesting - welcoming you all into our world has become our passion as well!
IF you throw back 3/4 of your shrimp catch (wasteful) AND only want the larger 10-15/16-20 shrimp (less fish,squid…by-catch) for head-le$$ start pulling a net made with 1 3/4”/1 1/2 extension AND bag … thus stop wasting future “larger” shrimp!!!!!!!!!!!
O my gosh, there are a lot of dangers which you know of that can get caught up in a net! That huge barbed stingray had me worried, but learning so much from this video! So blessed ❤❤
Love watching yall videos, we keep the smaller shrimp Here in south louisiana we will peel up to a 70 80 count and only throw 80 and over back. We peel em and use em to cook with, make shrimp spaghetti, shrimp smothered in onions, shrimp gumbo, shrimp pistollets, shrimp dips and many other dishes, 😋
Thanks. All of that sounds tasty. We should be keeping more of the small shrimp. You have me wondering the count on the shrimp that we're throwing back.
I watch your videos for last year or longer. First time I've seen you cull sm and med shrimp and after they were dead. Really not a fan of that, I'm sure someone would appreciate those small and mediums. Not trying to be an ass but hate seeing shrimp just dumped that are dead after being caught. Stay safe and keep up the good work.
Hi again! Pausing at 11:04 because I can see that shark following you all, in the waters! Are you allowed to fish and eat shark there? If you get him in the net again he's dinner too😂🎉
The fins you see following us are mostly dolphins. I've only seen a couple of sharks that have surfaced while we're trawling. We can keep some of the shark species for food. They're tasty if handled and cooked properly.
Oliver and Stephanie, it was so good to see you both again. Thanks for working with LaGrand and his lucky duck shorts. Blessings to all of you from South Georgia.
i cant believe your thoring the small shrimp back... they eat good too! well now there dead and are not going to get any bigger... I you dont want them... give them away or use them for bait..... not trying to send hate mail ... to me its just wasteful ...
@@JCASTELLUCCIOJR ok you are asking me wasteful by catch? or bye catch? I mean trash is trash ...but small shrimp are not trash...after they are in that picking box they die,, but why get rid of the small shrimp? they can be giving away or used for bait... why waste them by putting dead shrimp back in the water?
I enjoy watching you all!! Watching you all brings back good memories of when I was young going to my grandfather’s trailer at Bay City Delaware crabbing clamming and fishing. Love being near the water
Hello, Stephanie so glad to see you, missed you. I know you have enjoyed the break. Glad you have LeGrande. I can see he loves being with y’all. Thanks for sharing the Shrimping, only way a lot of us would ever see.
Oliver and Steph thank you for sharing these memories with us, many would never have the opportunity to see things like this without wonderful folks just like you and to be able to earn a little bit of money it will never be enough. Thank you.
I wish I had 10 lagrands instead of these young smart @$$ young kids these days they want get off the games I’ll definitely watch when he’s on you channel
I’m fairly new to your channel but I love shelling. It’s a fun addiction but could sure be worse. We winter in Florida and I love going to different beaches and shelling but boy would I love to fine some of the knob whelks or lighting whelks you guys find. Thank you for sharing your adventures and all those beautiful shells. I agree send me some of your awesome shells. God Bless you both
Wendy are you getting your boat fixed so that your wives and family can be back on the boat with you Oliver and Philip? I’m talking about your big Parker boat.
@@donnacribbs1807 I've already purchased some of the parts to get it back running and operational. It's going to take some time and effort. Luckily, we still have our smaller boat that Steph, Legrande, and I just took the viewers out on trawling. It got a little rough on us, so we had to give up for the day. We'll be back out together on it until I get everything sorted out with the Parker.
It’s should be 16 inches in front of the bottom line so when it jumps the shrimp 🦐 up they go in the net not under it and net goes over then 🎉. If you take some of the floors off what you call three line ,and let it out2 feet longer than you have it ,your door runner should shine all way will make your net shrimp seven 🦶 more than it is !
