Yip. And even if it is private health insurance (like Switzerland or the Netherlands), it is mandatory, universal and the prices are strictly controlled by the governments. Basically, if a country doesn’t have a single-payer governmental system (like the NHS in the UK), it has at least a very successful Obamacare-style healthcare.
The difference is that in europe (an other areas of the world) medicine is typically an undergraduate degree. Unlike in the U.S. where its 4 years undergrad, four years medical, 4 years residency and THEN your board certified. If you want a specialization, its another 3-4 years of fellowship. Its expensive to see an American doctor because its expensive to become one so costs fall to the patient. When its less expensive to become a doctor its less expensive to see one. And when everyone in America insists on seeing a specialist its no wonder why the costs are so high.
What the hell are you talking about??? In Europe and "other areas" there is simply no such thing as undergraduate degree that you require to enter medical school. Europe medical degree is equal to USA medical school degree, that's why Doctors from other countries can confirm their degree and practice medicine in USA. So it's not "undergraduate" degree at all. In Europe for instance you take 6 (usually) years of medical studies in university (which again equals everything up to medical school in USA) + 1 year of mandatory residency + 1-5 years of "specialist" residency. In USA it's so expensive to see a doctor because there is zero government focus to decrease cost of medical help.

And yes in the usa you can finish high school at 18 and go to an associate physician program thats only two years following high school to meet the healthcare demands of the us population. So doubting youve personally investigated every country, i can assume youve never heard of the worlds youngest surgeon who was under the age of twelve and legally operated on people due to the fact he lived a third world country who litterally had no other available healthcare infustructure outside the wooden shack behand his parents house where the boy stared in a documentary showing him separate the fingers of a girl who had been burned. So yeah, fuck you. An in the US the cost is high because of what i described. A person who eats, smokes, drugs and drinks themselves to death is not the governments problem. We are all responsible for our health in the usa. Unfortunately the USA is fat because people refuse to eat healthy. The USA gets doctors from overseas all the time because they can work for less $ because their tuition is less
Nope its just the insurance companies and the hospitals themselves who take as much money as they can, many doctors are the ones who advocate for free healthcare and/or less extreme costs
