I just heard this for the first time from a relaxing video game music compilation, and it's one of the most beautiful pieces from a game I have ever heard. Added to my favorites!
@gutzmunder same :) I literally stopped what I was doing, just about cried, and had to find out what this song was that had somehow escaped me for all that time. I've known of the game since it was out, but never got around to playing it, though that might change now if I can find some time to play a massive RPG lol, sadly growing older there's far less time for that...
I bought Grandia 1 on release day for my PS1. I feel really lucky to have played games like grandia when they first released. My suikoden 1 and 2 copies are worth like £100-£200 each which is nice :D
There was a time when the impulse/reason to create something was Art and it was money who followed. Now i see myself in a world where everybody tries to create art for money, but Art newer ever was born out of greed. So i listen and am happy that i was once living in a world of upcoming gods and goddesses, who tried to creat worlds.
Hey there. You are still in that very same world, and though the passage of time does change things: I would urge you not to be so hasty to use the broad brush, and instead to look closer. It may be difficult if you got a lot of clouds in the way, but those will part in do time too. Artists have not gone extinct, and there are countless of them out there, but you do need to go out and find em for yourself instead of hoping they just walk into view. Humans are born story tellers: Everyone has stories to tell, and art can tell stories pretty well. That hasn't changed in the decades of time alone, even if it might just be harder to spot. And while money may be a necessary evil: The life of an artist isn't an easy one, and certainly not what one purely motivated by monetary gain would choose. And without genuine passion for ones craft: Art would not prosper either. If you really want to find those artists: Creators of worlds - I wish you the best on your journey, and in general too! I am sure you will have many adventures to come if your hearts deepest desire is to go find artistic souls to speak with. Also: If you celebrate it, happy Christmas!
Oh, my god. I haven't heard this song in ten years, not since the last time I picked up a PS1 controller and played this amazing game (I still have files saved just before the romance bits at Gumbo and on the boat between continents, crammed in storage somewhere). Ten seconds into the song, and I'm already bawling. Iwadare is a master.
OMG how much do I love this tune & the game, Grandia will forever be one of my altime favorite games. Justin & Feena are amazing & will always be one of my altime favorite rpg couples. They just don't make games like this anymore, most rpg's have the love story set around the take down the bad guy story but Grandia is different. The take down the bad guy story is set around the love story......oh it's so romantic (cry's)
i know this comment is 7 years ago, but Trails in the Sky is about a girl and her adoptive brother, it's basically a love story first between the two but they got tangled up in some deep stuff, like suddenly a secret organization is revealed etc etc.
When we see Feena truly falling for Justin XD. And everybody who have finished the game know how their relation evoluted lol. That's actually the number one grief I had with the Epilogue of the second game : We do not see Ryudo with any of the girls. At least, in the first Grandia, We see how the number one pairing is in the end, even if we unfortunately do not see how the others members of the party and their friends/Ex-rivals are.
Se acharam a música bonita quem dera tivessem jogado a cena do jogo em que esta música toca é emocionante. Eu tenho um ponto de save antes da cena que toca esta música no jogo
