SCP 4173 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as Grandma.
SCP-4173 is a small access door in the cellar beneath an abandoned house near Mt. Zion, Georgia, USA. The abandoned house is colloquially known as the "House on Hadley Hill"
If SCP4173 is left open for a period of time1, persons nearby will hear a voice coming from within the wall past the door. This voice will inquire who the individual is and why they took so long to come, and will then ask to see the subject's hand, as the voice has trouble seeing.

I just finished reading the SCP-4173 article, and apparently, no one at the Foundation ever thought that maybe they should bring her some food; to-go meal from a local diner for example. But no, that would require the Foundation to recognize the tragedy behind the horror and exercise so much as ten cents worth of compassion. Rather than feed her D-Class for no other reason than to see if anything changes.

Honestly, I find the articles where the Foundation doesn't show compassion to be the oddballs. (E: That is, assuming showing a level of care _won't_ get everyone killed.) It's half the reason 2305 is deliberately ridiculous as an article, because of how often the methods used require wanton cruelty. I recommend staying far away from the Fire Suppression Department articles. It's an entire canon that requires the Ethics Committee to be stupid, missing, or dead while also not plunging the Foundation into the same fate as 1730's universe - which is borderline impossible. (It's implied the FSD brainwashed the O5s, but standard mind control is overrated as a plot device and Omega-1 should _always_ be on standby to depose them when necessary, as in 3985 and Dead Men.) And yet it won an entire site-wide contest. It's excellent social commentary, but the "vanilla" Foundationverse isn't the right place for it from a logical standpoint.

Each site has their own ways to get D-class personnel, and it wouldn't be the first time a site has grabbed some random people, convince them they're responsible for some mass murder through the use of amnestics and turn them into D-classes. Then again, the Ethics Committee exists now, so I'll just leave that there

@@ellis7622 Not really. There have been people on death row who did nothing to deserve such a fact as 18 people who DNA *proved* where not the ones involved in the crime. George Stinney was executed and everything points to him being innocent. He was only 14 when he was executed by electric chair (1944)

@@torymann248 Dr. Cimmerian's "You're Wrong About D-Class" points out the many problems with the idea that D-Class are taken from death row. 1)there are simple not enough for all the SCPs, 2)many overseas death penalties are for "crimes" that the West doesn't recognize as death penalty crimes (Iran and China are given as examples), 3) the social-political-racial aspect in the US create further problems. Heck, SCP-231 goes through 6 D-Class and D-class are on a 1 month "replacement" timetable so at least 678 (2018) D-Class have been gone through _on one SCP_ . SCP-2845 also goes through at least 6 people and has gone through 325 D-class as of Aug 2022.

Just a little reminder: Check on your grandparents. Or your parents if you're in that age. Things can be hard for them and you never know what they might be dealing with that they can't easily communicate to you. Calling or emailing or messaging you might not occur to them, forgetting to get food or medicine or other supplies is common. They took care of you. Return the favor before you miss something you'll always regret.

Why not try to bring her some real food? A big turkey, couple dozen cans of preserved food like cans of precooked pork, (yes, that's a thing) a can opener obviously, etcetera and see if that can satiate her? Worst case scenario you lose another d class. Best case no more arm nabbing.

It might, theoretically, have been a test to confirm race relationships were unnecessary, or trying to leave a specific genetic lineage. It could have been attached to d94s crime, it could have been correlated to his own past, it could have been a test regarding whether or not the SCP was even still there. Given the starting statement, it might have been intended as a roleplaying test, possibly intending to coach the victim through a roleplay session, to see if they could quiet or calm the spirit by playing at it being one of her sons coming at the right time.

Isn’t it much more caloricly efficient to just let your body’s absorb your muscles than eating your own arm, since the blood loss and stress cause you to burn calories quicker, and the digestion process would take a lot of energy as well as chewing would.

Fill you up, good boy... She wasn't talking to the D-class at that point but the researcher that sent the D-class to her. The D-class was rude, didn't deserve his hand anymore anyway-what had they done with it to have ended up on death row? But the researcher, they had fed her and now, she would fill them up too. Her hand killed the rude D-class. Now they both had something to eat. So generous. But secretly, her taking and keeping so little just means that she expects you to visit her again sooner rather than later you know, don't keep her waiting. Not as if they sent the D-class in with something else. A cadaverous body part or a sandwich. No food or offering. Next time perhaps.

I had an idea on a way to more effectively contain 682 or better yet allow you to neutralise it why not use a reality anchor it could contain and maybe get rid of its healing factor so you could kill it and at the worst contain it

yeah seems the video is one ripoff after a next from that game. Is someone new doing all these 2022 ones because the last 4 iv'e watched sucked. Sucked as in were blatantly wrong ,mishandled, imorally drivin under story, and now basiclly a ripoff of a game no one bothered to even give props too???????
