Fun Fact: The Company was contained when out of a desire to relieve Wizard of pain from Red, they tried to break into Site-19 after randomly discovering the Foundation to try to steal SCP-348. Needless to say, they failed. Their story is continued in SCP-2117, the Stealing Solidarity Canon, and SCP-2722, which was created due to some temporal mess that allowed it and the living Black Rabbit Company to exist at the same time.

So the crazy slowly dieing wizard man decided to just mid surgery, run off and join a team of cat girl cyborg vigilantes. Yep, this is the peak of SCP Foundation discoveries... Besides the goose slayer robot...

It honestly sounds like Wizard should be a separate SCP from the girls. Like, "This SCP consists of 5 genetically and cybernetically enhanced catgirl super soldiers, and one guy with alien super cancer." In the words of Elmo, "One of these things is not like the others."

So, something important to keep in mind about this SCP - it's a bit of a deconstruction of the foundation. While most SCP articles portray the foundation as the good guys, brave soldiers and researchers protecting the world from unspeakable horrors, or sometimes protecting wonderous artifacts from enemies who wish to destroy or misuse them, 2085 was meant to portray the foundation in a more antagonistic light. The foundation is keeping these six vigilantes held against their will and it's not even because of their laundry list of crimes, but simply because of the nature of their existence, condemning them to lives spent in solitary confinement, being treated as objects to study and not the people they really are. The world of the SCP foundation is a world where you can lose your basic human rights simply because you woke up one morning with a third eye or glow-in-the-dark skin.

From someone that lives with chronic pain, naming your pain or personifying it is very common, because it's such a massive impact on your life and there isn't much else you can do. The pain seems to be its one thing, like something attached to you that reacts to different things or changes in severity (and at very few times seems to sleep). mine doesn't have a name but I imagine it as a black ball with a cross pair of eyes under my skin in my right leg. often it gets bored and just prods me constantly sometimes it grows and it feels like there is pressure on my hip sometimes it grows spikes and I get stabbing pains sometimes it moves down behind my knee and kicks my kneecap as I walk, trying to trip me up and then there are the fun times when its friends come round to visit and they all take turns doing the above

if you could really shapeshift you would think that you could also regenerate however that is not always the case in fact it can be a plot point if the shapeshifter does not heal it could be one way to identify them

It's a minor quibble, but I wish that people who set out to make Japanese-themed SCPs would check with some people proficient in Japanese. Then they could find out that onyomi is a thing, and that while their literal word-by-word translating of group names and such aren't usually wrong exactly, it sounds unnatural and clunky.

I think this SCP is wild and unique. Think about it! Some cliche anime tropes becoming unique in a place that the anime niche is pretty rare there (Scary , Creepy, and End of the World Scenario are the "niches" in SCP universe). So this SCP put some little bit of anime niche with adding some creepy monstrous entity tropes to the SCP Universe is kinda almost unique to me and they're all really wild and their name almost "dosen't make sense". I mean the teams are called "Black Rabbit Company" dispite it has 5 anime cat-girl there.

I think your'e going in the right direction. While SCP-2085-A-1 to 5 appear to be inseparable, there's one member who doesn't belong. SCP-2085-B might be the key to breaking the trust within them. IF they can't trust their leader maybe, just maybe, you'll be able to break them up little by little.

I don't know if it's the presentation having a a weak hook, or if it's just the subject being inherently uninteresting, but I didn't take to this video the same way I took to others. The 2085-A-1 to 2085-A-5 subjects read like a series of bland anime cyborg experiment waifu OC tropes, and I don't find anything actually compelling about about their interactions with 2085-B. Even the ridiculous organization name of Kuroi Usagi Shidan feels more like a preteen's imagination of "cool" rather than a believable organization that exists within the universe of the SCP foundation. With that said, I do appreciate the effort that the team puts into animating and writing videos every day, since the channel really does spoil us, but I just don't know if this particular SCP does a good job of showcasing the narrative universe of the SCP foundation.

This story left a lot of questions: 1. The Wizard guy had a TOTALLY SEPARATE origin story and only met the "cat girls" by ACCIDENT OF CIRCUMSTANCE. Its basically 2 separate stories. 2. I had assumed at first that the Wizard guy had created them, doing the genetic modifications and surgery for the cybernetic implants. Nope, he had nothing to do with that. Who or what did this to them? This story leaves so much unanswered. Will we get a "sequel" to tell us more?
